MoonPay Men's Skateboard Vert: TOP 3 MEDAL RUNS | MoonPay X Games Chiba 2026

Get ready to hear a pop from this crowd at Chiba for Moto Shibata dropping it. Oh, Al you front foot impossible lean to start his run right into a massive McTwist. I love the way that he inverts that and a kick on McTwist. Okay that was a like a best trick trick just a few years ago now he's throwing it in his run. Stylish lean air and the lean rodeo. It's a lean machine. Yes. Oh and the switch front foot impossible lean and the cabidon that was insane. Incredible first run for Moto Shibata. That's what I'm talking about Moto Shibata here in Japan. Coming correct right out the gate Amelia and when you watch him skate like this it baffles me that the last time he won gold was back in 2017 Minneapolis. But this right here the kickflip McTwist you're seeing kickflip body variable fives but no one is doing kickflip McTwists. So much more difficult and that's going so much front foot impossible lean. 91.33 we have a new leader and his name is Moto. And then there was one 17 years old owner of 11 X Games gold medals the crown jewel of XC Sao Paulo Guy Curie. 900 just super casual so his wrist is actually broken and he took his cast off and he's still grabbing with it. He said certain tricks really hurt but he's making it work right there like the Snail Fish 5 and then the Kickflip Indy 5 to be able to use your broken wrist like that. Oh what throwing in another 9. So many variations of that trick all done by Guy right here. He's he's another species there's just there's no one like him in birth. So I met Guy when he was four years old and he did a skate lesson with me and he just kept saying I just want to fly. And he just would throw himself off ramps. I was actually terrified I was like this four year old is gonna get hurt but here he is now look at this. Well tonight we're witnessing a man in flight Amelia I don't know what else to tell you. That's insane and he's always doing it on the first try. 92.66 he keeps doing this every single year. Emma Kawakami is sitting in the bronze medal spot. Emma going 5 to Kickflip Indy. Oh the body burial 9 what. Rodeo oh and then Kickflip grab the melon burial flip 5. This is insane Brando. Emma Kawakami. Every wall is insane. The McKenzie and the 57 and the back disaster revert. That was absurd. You cannot stop the free team. You can only hope to contain him. Much like his 11 year old counterpart in the women's skateboard for Mia Kretzer. The amplitude at which we're seeing him skate from year over year is very impressive Amelia. I can't believe we just witnessed this body burial 9 in this run and then the burial flip. I mean 85. What more do you want from this young man? And then and then he ended with the back disaster revert but but throwing in the McKenzie uh Bucky Lastic was the first to do that one. The 7 Indy to fakie and then going right into another 7. I mean but Bucky wasn't doing that at 11 and he wasn't doing it in his in his run. A 93.66 Emma Kawakami takes over first place. Emma Kawakami becomes the youngest male gold medalist in X Games history and it's the 11 year old David defeating the Goliath out here tonight.
