Hey guys, it's Amit Chowdhury from Fetching Limescale and welcome to today's video.
Bill Stoppard, Sean Ennui, Ricardo Lino, this channel.
Have you ever wondered what we use as our main skate setup?
Well, this video is going to be about this.
So let's pass the microphone and see what they have to say.
That's so cool.
I'm in a video with Tiago Inline Skater, Ricardo Lino, and Sean Ennui from Shop Task.
It's like the four horsemen of the skatepocalypse.
What skate am I wearing?
Well, this month I tend to do these things in months.
This month it is the Adapt Hyperskate GTO.
Let's get a better angle there.
So today in particular, this point in time, these GTOs are at a really good place for
my skating.
I generally prefer and find I skate best where I'm around 84 millimeters all the way down
to 76.
I might skate a lot faster in the tri-skates or the bigger wheels, but my control, especially
in this, my one-footed obsession era, is the one that I'm really falling in love with lately.
I don't know if that great looks at me.
So lately I've been on this one-footed thing, and I think it's total control of the Adapt
Hyperskate GTO.
Whoa.
I almost got a groove there.
And as far as the wheel brand, I didn't have a plan for that.
So as far as the wheel brand, I don't know.
It says Symmetrix on it, if that means anything to you.
So as far as my wheel setup, I like to go with the descending order, where I go with
the smallest wheels at the front and the largest at the back.
That way I'm always in a bit of a downward position and my calf is already partly flexed
and I just need to extend a little bit for a quick start.
The descending order also helps greatly with a tight little pivot on the power stop.
I can drive in with the heels.
Boom.
Great big heel skates.
And I'm not back like this.
I'm forward and my center of gravity is over my feet.
So that's why I like the flat setup that is descending towards the front.
Smallies on the front, biggies on the back.
So here they are in all their glory, the Adapt Hyperskate GTO.
Should be able to tell from this shot that there is a lot of lateral mobility in what
I do on the streets, but nothing like what you would find in slalom or even hockey, where
the pivoting is more important than the carving.
And because I'm doing a flow skate, these things really do help, just coasting through
this stuff, transferring the energy forward with no little twitches or concussions on
the downward.
This isn't good.
Do that.
Get greased.
Oh yes, and the bearings, of course, I'm quite excited about and I haven't tested properly.
I've just enjoyed their slick ride.
They are Jaguar bearings and they're from Katz Bearings.
They are ABAC 9 and they're waterproof.
Hello to Sean, Ricardo and Tiago.
I know we haven't met, but yet we have.
Oh yes, I don't think I actually clarified exactly what size wheels I'm in at this moment.
I'm in 80As.
They began as 84A, but they must be down to about 80 by now.
Yes, like I said, 78 to 82 is the sweet spot.
Yeah, that's all I got.
All right, Sean here, Shop Task, and this is my setup.
Now my style of skating is primarily bombing through the city, what I call it.
