Compassion That Confronts

Often we think having compassion on someone means feeling sorry for them and giving them pity and comfort because of the situation or condition that they are in. Unfortunately, there are times our bad situation is caused by our own sinful actions. While this compassion of pity might make someone feel a little better, it really doesn’t help their situation or solve any problems.
Real compassion, while containing an element of sorrow for another’s situation (especially if it is caused by their now sinfulness), should motivates us to do more. Real compassion also moves us to point out what they need to do, in a loving and Biblical way, to remedy their situation.
As Pastor Aaron explores both the necessity of Biblical compassion and the world’s reactions to it, as he considers, “Compassion That Confronts.”
