In this lesson, you'll learn how to talk about entertainment, hobbies, and leisure activities in Chinese. You'll build practical vocabulary for activities such as singing, dancing, watching Shen Yun, browsing the internet, live streaming, and using social media. You'll also learn how to express your favorites, opinions, reasons, and comparisons using sentence patterns like 最喜欢 (my favorite), 我觉得 (I think), 我认为 (in my opinion), 为什么……？因为…… (Why...? Because...), and 比 (compare). By the end of the lesson, you'll be able to describe your hobbies, compare different leisure activities, explain your preferences, and discuss what you find interesting, fun, or boring in natural, everyday Chinese.

A 比 B + 形容词
我觉得唱歌比跳舞容易。
Wǒ juéde chànggē bǐ tiàowǔ róngyì.
I think singing is easier than dancing.
看神韵比看电视剧更精彩。
Kàn Shényùn bǐ kàn diànshìjù gèng jīngcǎi.
Watching Shen Yun is more spectacular than watching TV dramas.
