Pinyin & Zhuyin

Chinese Pinyin is a Romanization system that uses the English alphabet to represent the pronunciation of Mandarin Chinese. It helps learners read, pronounce, and type Chinese words, making it an essential foundation for beginners studying Mandarin.

Zhuyin (注音符號)—also called Bopomofo—is a phonetic system used mainly in Taiwan to help learn and pronounce Mandarin Chinese.
