"Laue O Nu'uanu"
On April 20, 2002, after picking laua'e in Nu'uanu for his hula brother's baby's birthday party, Manu Boyd composed this song. When the laua'e fern is crushed, it yields a fragrance reminiscent of corn. For this reason, perhaps, the word laua'e means beloved, sweet as a lover, and ho'olau'e means to cherish, as a beloved memory.
