In this video, I want to look at a load of huge credit card bonuses. We have offers for 100,000
points on no annual fee chase cards, which is unheard of. We also have a bonus that gets you
most of the way to the Southwest Companion Pass, and an offer for 200,000 points. Many of these
end in July, and actually one of them ends tomorrow, so you need to be really quick if
you want it. In addition, we have a way that you can earn either cashback, or extra Amex points,
or built points every Wednesday throughout the whole of July. So stick around until the end of
the video to find out how to do that. Hey credit warriors, welcome to the show. My name is Ben
Hedges, aka The Credit Shifu, and on this channel I cover US credit cards, personal finance, and
luxury travel. If you like the sound of that, please subscribe, but let's get into it. And
this video is brought to you by Silo, the brokerage where you can earn credit card style points on
your investments, and get your Amex, Platinum, and Gold card for free. But more on that later.
Okay, so what is a credit card welcome bonus? Well that is when a bank will offer you a certain
amount of cashback or points for spending a set amount of money in a period of time,
normally three months, but it can be longer when you open a credit card. For example,
get $250 in cashback for spending $500 in three months is something you might see
on a no annual fee cashback card. Bonuses on cards with annual fees can be a lot higher,
and often the value will be a thousand dollars or more. Let's now look at our first bonus,
and this one is actually ending tomorrow. And that would be the Southwest credit cards.
Okay, let's go through this one quickly since I have talked about it before, but it ends July 1st,
and the bonuses are $80,000, $85,000, and $90,000 depending on which card you choose.
And that is for spending either $1,000, $2,000, or $3,000 in your first three months. The cool
thing about these bonuses is that the points count towards the companion pass, which lets you get two
for one flights for you and a set companion for up to two years, depending on when you get it.
For that, you need 135,000 points accumulated in one calendar year. So if you get the 90,000
point bonus with the spending categories, you're probably going to end up at about 95,000. So you
only need 40,000 more points to get the companion pass for the rest of 2026 and the whole of 2027.
So you won't be able to do two years on the companion pass with this just because of where
we are already in the year. We're like halfway through the year already, but maybe you'll get
a year and three months, a year and four months if you do it quick. Now, where can you get that
additional 40,000 points from? Well, you can do it with spending on the credit card. Okay, the points
you earn on just spending normally, not just the bonus counts. Southwest also has a shopping portal
that you can use for additional points. It's like two to three extra points per dollar. And then
they also have a dining program you can use as well. Right now, you get 500 points for just
signing up. Then you'll earn three points per dollar for every dollar you spend at their
restaurants as long as you're signed up for their marketing emails. And there are also some
additional bonuses like 500 points after you earn your first 1,500 points at a restaurant and leave
a review and 300 points every time you earn 1,000 points. So anyway, the credit card combined with
the dining and shopping programs could be your way of getting that additional 40,000 points you need
by the end of the year. Oh, and you still get to spend the points as well. You're not exchanging
them for the companion pass. Okay, you just have to accumulate them. You get the companion pass,
but you can still spend them on free flights. So there's some serious value to be accumulated here.
The 90,000 point bonus on the rapid rewards priority card would be worth $1,125 in redeeming
for free flights before even factoring in the companion pass if you're able to get it. And if
you apply now, you have five months to accumulate the points for the companion pass. Okay, you might
say there's six months in the year, but very likely your December statement would post in early
January, right? So, you know, it needs to be posting. Those points need to be in your account
latest in December 2026. So probably realistically, it's five months worth of spending. And you have
one day left to apply for the card, okay? Because this ends July 1st, which is tomorrow. Okay, let's
move on to the next one, which is a best ever offer on two Chase cards. The Chase Inc Unlimited and
Okay, so these are two Chase business cards, both offering their best bonus ever of $1,000
in cashback, which can also be converted into 100,000 Chase UR points if you have a Sapphire
or Inc preferred card to transfer them to. So on the Inc Unlimited, which is a card that I have,
it's $1,000 for spending $8,000 in three months. The Inc Unlimited earns 1.5% cashback or 1.5x
points per dollar on all spend. And it also has 0% APR for 12 months. So if you did want to use it
for a mini loan for a business project, it's pretty handy. I use this card to buy all the
furniture for my Airbnb, for example, taking advantage of that 0% APR for 12 months. And
actually, I use the bonus I got from this card, which was 90,000 points at that time to fly on
United's Polaris business class from London to New York. If you prefer bonus categories instead
of 1.5% on everything, you could go for the Inc cash. But those categories are very business
oriented. All right, office supply stores, internet cable and phone. My business doesn't
spend money in those categories at all. I spend money at like Home Depot, the swimming pool supply
store and Amazon. So I much prefer unlimited 1.5%. Anyway, those bonuses are limited time offers.
I'll put my link for them in the description down below. If you do use my link, it really helps me
out. So I thank you if you do. Also, just so you know what counts as a business for the purpose of
these cards with Chase is pretty broad. Generally, anyone who is on 1099, okay, a contractor,
as opposed to a W2 full time employee is normally eligible for these cards. Not sure when these
bonuses are ending as there's no end date published, but get them while you can. All right,
let's move on to one more 100,000 point bonus from Chase. But first, over the past year, you've
probably heard me talking about Silo, the investing platform that enables you to earn points on your
stocks. It's like what Bilt has done with earning points on rent, but for investing. Well, now we
have an exciting update about Silo that I know viewers of this channel in particular will find
interesting. Silo is rolling out a new status program that will cover your American Express
gold and platinum card fees. If your account with Silo is big enough, you unlock status benefits.
At $750,000, they'll cover your American Express gold and Costco executive membership fees every
year. And at $1 million, they will cover the $895 annual fee on your Amex Platinum 2. They even say
that if you are in the Chase or Citi credit card system instead of Amex, you should reach out to
them because they may very well pay the annual fee on one of those cards for you instead. Don't
forget this is in addition to up to 250,000 points on your portfolio balance each year and up to a
250,000 point welcome bonus in the first year. So a total of potentially 500,000 points in year
one. That bonus was going to end at the end of last month, but they've extended it until the
end of June. Points are currently redeemable for cashback at one cent per point, but soon you'll
also have many more redemption options. Silo's travel portal is launching this month and they've
confirmed that their first two transfer partners will be Turkish Airlines and Avianca, slated to
with many more partners rolling out in the second half of this year. While credit card companies
give you points for spending money, Silo has turned that concept on its head and gives you
points for saving and investing money. So if you want to get your Amex Gold and Platinum for free
while also earning points on your portfolio, use my link silomarkets.com slash ben to get started
by the end of June. All right, our next card is the Chase Sapphire Preferred. This bonus launched
just about a week ago and it's 100,000 points for spending $5,000 in your first three months.
The bonus comes as this card has just had a small refresh with the $50 annual hotel credit doubled
to $100 and a new 3x multiplier on gas and EV charging, as well as a new 3x on short term
rentals like Airbnb. And that's a really valuable category since not many cards offer a multiplier
on short term rentals. If they made it grocery in-store instead of just online,
this card would be like one of the best mid-tier travel cards out there. Now, if you value Chase
points at two cents per point, which is what the points guy gives them, and a lot of people
do value them at that, then the bonus is worth $2,000. 100,000 points is also enough for a one
way business class flight to Europe. You can normally get that for 80,000 from the US East
Coast round trip to Asia and economy and loads of other great redemptions. And I'm actually
thinking I may very well get this card for the bonus. Can you believe I've never had the Sapphire
preferred? Isn't that crazy? It's like the one that credit card bloggers always talk about.
I've never actually had it. My wife's had it twice. She applied for it, got the bonus a few
years later, got rid of it. And then a year or two later, there was a high bonus and she applied for
it again. So she'd actually had a high bonus on this card twice. All right, let's now move on.
And this is the final Chase card we'll talk about. The Chase Sapphire Reserve business.
The main reason I'm talking about this is just because it's such a huge bonus,
all right? 200,000 Chase UR points. Potential value is $4,000 or higher if you are good at
redeeming Chase points. And that's for spending $30,000 in six months. So that's $5,000 per month.
For individuals, that might be hard, but for people with certain types of businesses,
that actually may be very easy. Chase describes this as their best ever offer. If you want,
you can find it in my Chase business cards link down in the description below.
All right, let's move on to some Amex airline cards. The Delta Airlines Amex cards.
Now we have to talk about these because they end on July 15th. Meaning if you want them,
you need to sign up in the first half of the month. And all of these are two-part bonuses.
On the Delta Gold card, it's 70,000 bonus miles for spending $3,000 in the first six months.
Then 20,000 bonus miles for spending 2,000 more in your first six months. Total is 90,000.
On the Delta Platinum card, it's 80,000 bonus miles for spending 4,000 in the first six months.
And then 20,000 bonus miles more for spending another 2,000 in your first six months. Total
100,000. Then on the Delta Reserve, it's 100,000 bonus miles for spending $6,000 in the first six
months. And then an additional 25,000 for spending 3,000 more in your first six months. Total is
125,000. Don't forget these end July 15th. So if you do want them, you must sign up soon.
Next, we have one more set of bonuses, but this isn't for a specific credit card. However,
you will be able to get some high points multipliers on your shopping every Wednesday
through July. Check this out. The Rakuten Big Deal Reveal. So Rakuten, the popular cashback
and points portal, is doing a promotion throughout the whole of July where you get a high bonus
multiplier at a different merchant each Wednesday. And this actually starts tomorrow, Wednesday,
July 1st. They are offering 7% back at Lowe's. Then the following Wednesday, it's 10% on Expedia
Hotels. Then in the middle, we have something called Black Friday in July, also called the Big
Deal Reveal, where they have four days of deals, OK, presumably at multiple merchants. Then the
following Wednesday, it's 22% back at Viator, which is a site owned by Expedia that sells
excursions. And then we have the final Wednesday in July, 25% back at PetSmart. I'm definitely
going to take advantage of that since I have four cats. Now, if you haven't used Rakuten before,
it is a site where you can browse stores offering cashback and you can click through from the
Rakuten site to those stores websites and get extra cashback when you shop on said store sites.
If you prefer to earn Amex points, you can earn those instead of cashback. So every cent that
you would have earned in cashback is now one Amex point. And that's going to work out giving you
much more value if you know how to use Amex points well. Or you can also earn built points if you
prefer those two. Anyway, I'll put a link for Rakuten somewhere down in the description below.
You can get some kind of bonus if you sign up through my link. I think it was it's $50 if you're
watching this video on the day it comes out, June 30th. But I think it might go down as we come into
July. OK, so check it out anyway. See what they're offering. But anyway, if you do sign up or if
in the middle of the month, July 14th to 18th, there will be a Black Friday style event with high
cashback or points multipliers on multiple retailers. All right, guys, that is the video for
today. It looks like there's a lot of value to be had in July. And don't forget, if you want to get
your Amex gold and platinum for free while also earning points on your portfolio, use my link
to get started by the end of June, although they may extend it into July. So if you are
interested, click the link below to find out. Please subscribe if you're new. We'll see you next
time. Bye bye.
