Whispering Woods | Quiet Tree Studies in Gouache 🌿 No Talking (Part 1)

This is Part 1 of a new little series — just me painting trees. I wanted to slow down and play for a bit. There wasn't really a plan or a finished piece in mind; I was mostly chasing color, trying to find combinations that felt like a forest. A lot of these were palettes I don't normally reach for, which was kind of the whole point — to sit in something unfamiliar and see what happened.
I made four small studies in the end. The first and the last were the two that clicked for me — everything in between was part of figuring it out.
No talking, just the quiet of the process. Put it on, relax, and paint along or simply watch. 🎨
