Yet another earthquake was reported off Venezuela’s northern coast on Saturday, days after two strong back-to-back earthquakes struck within seconds of each other, causing significant damage. The death toll has continued to rise, now passing 1,400 people. Nathaniel Dove reports on the frantic search for survivors and the Canadian response.

The Canadian border could soon see a significant influx of refugees after a pivotal court decision in the United States. The Supreme Court ruled to strip legal protections for hundreds of thousands of migrants – many of them Haitian – leaving them under threat of deportation.
