Astronomers have captured the first image of Sagittarius A*, the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way. Using the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT), researchers overcame immense distance and scale challenges through a global network of radio telescopes and innovative computational algorithms to visualize the black hole's characteristic bright ring.
