AI GeneratedAlyssa from \"Crafting to Cope\" reviews two mystery bead boxes purchased from Amazon. She explores a large bulk pack of plastic beads and a smaller assortment of glass beads, evaluating their value, variety, and potential uses for various crafting projects.
Hey crafty friends, it's Alyssa with Crafting to Cope and I'm on today with kind of a fun little
share. So I've been a little obsessed with beads lately but I also love a good surprise. So I went
on Amazon in search of a mystery bead box and there wasn't a lot out there but I did find one
for plastic beads which I thought would be good for just some kid bracelets to add to some certain
projects and also to, I don't know, use with my nieces and nephews I suppose.
And then one was a glass bead mystery. So I'm kind of excited to see what we get. So this
first one we're going to go through is a mixed craft bead case and so it's five pounds. It was
I think like $19. Five pounds beads. I don't know what to expect. They're plastic so I'm
going to go out on a limb and guess that they're not going to be anything I'm absolutely in love
with but I cracked the box open and it is a pretty big box. Like I said it's five pounds and it's
heavy. So let's see what is in this box. So we're going to do the plastic ones first and then we're
going to go through and do the glass ones. So I just thought it'd be fun for a little mystery box
one day. So let's see what's in here. Oh my goodness that is a big bag of pony beads. Let's
see. It looks like an awful lot. Look at all those beads. That is so many beads. It looks like an
awful lot of pony beads. Looks like there's some other shapes in there so why don't we...
I'm gonna pour some of them on and excuse this if it's a little dirty. I use this when I'm like
gluing and painting things but it's dry. I'm gonna just pour some of these on here so we can...
Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. I might need a cup or something to pull it out with. It is so many beads.
It is a lot of pony beads but there's other fun beads in there. Little plastic turtles and some
of these will be cute for some of the like little keychains I want to make.
There's these little donut type ones, some shimmery stars, some little frosted circles. Again these are
all plastic beads. There's a lot of pony beads but there's some fun colors in here. I can't even
believe how many beads are in this bag. There's little stars and little flowers. I don't think I
can dump this whole thing out because I don't think the tray would hold it. There's this big purple guy
in here so it's kind of like... and a big green one. So some of these will be really fun to dig through
and make bracelets out of. Like I love these little peachy ones. They're so cute. A lot of
fun pony beads. So pony beads is your thing. There is just a mix. There's a diamond in there.
Little... I love the little stars. They're so cute. And then this little blue one. Pretty hot pink.
Oh my goodness. Look at all these beads. But there is... like I could dig through here and make cute
little bracelets with like these little peachy beads. You know these are more like stretchy
kid bracelets. Kind of like the Taylor Swift type bracelets this would be perfect for. Oh my goodness.
I just can't believe how many beads are in here. Not that I need any pony beads. I still have pony beads
from when I was like in junior high and I'm not a spring chicken. But I still have pony beads from
back then. But there are some really cute ones mixed in here. You just kind of have to dig for them.
But if you do a lot of crafts with pony beads and you're looking for some little surprises, this is
definitely a big old bead to dig through. You won't run out. Like look this whole thing is full.
And I still have this much. There's a lot of beads for your buck in here if you're looking for plastic
beads. And again I do have some ideas for some cute key chains and things that I'd use pony
beads for so I'm not upset. I do think I will dig out some of these other beads and make some cute
adolescent type bracelets for my craft fairs. There are little kids that come to my booth.
Those are cute. So these are just fun plastic beads. You can also use them to make bookmarks,
hang on tassels. Again these are not going to be your high quality jewelry beads but if you're
looking for a fun little mix, here you go. And I don't think you can get this many beads even if
you bought those cases with the bead colors organized from like Walmart or Hobby Lobby or
Michaels. You wouldn't get this many for $20. So if you don't mind picking through and looking for
the fun colors you want, this is not a bad gig. All right I'm going to set this big old bag aside
and I'll just set another tray on top of this one because I'm not going to attempt to put this away
while we're talking. I'll just put another tray right here. So this one I have not opened yet so
let me find my scissors and we'll see if the glass beads are worth it. Now the glass beads were only
$9 so for less than $10 you get this mystery. Five pounds of plastic for $19 and here is our glass
bead mystery pack. Let's see what we have in here. So it does come sealed. Let's see.
Let's see how much is it. It is 8.25 ounces for $9 glass beads so you get kind of like a bead suit
and there's multiples so you definitely could dig through here and make a really cute bracelet
with like these green beads. There's some cute flat beads. A lot of really tiny beads which
if you're going to make like a you could make a cute little elastic bracelet with those.
All different sizes. Like look at these are so cute. They're little butterflies and then that
piece matches it like that would be a cute bracelet or a necklace like the
little beads on the side of that and then even these ones are really pretty.
So there is a lot of fun colors that you can kind of mix together and maybe what I'll do is I will
do another video on getting made out of this bead mix. I'm definitely going to show you some stuff
with the plastic beads coming up. So you get 8.25 ounces for $9 so if you're just looking for a fun
little bead mix you could definitely pick this up and get a few little surprises in here.
They're cute. They're not fancy by any means but they are definitely oh I like that one. Look at
how pretty those are. They're just glass beads. So I just had to try a mystery box. I
think that I might go over to Etsy and look at some scoops and see what I get in there
but I don't know like there's just there's some cute combinations in here you could definitely
mix with some beads you have and make some really cute bracelets.
So that is the mix. I'll get them all down so you can see them. So if ever you're looking for a
mystery box I took the mystery out of it for you. Amazon doesn't have too many but this is what you
get for $9 in glass beads and this is what you get for $20 in plastic beads on Amazon mystery boxes.
So stay tuned. Oh I like these ones. Look at these. These are pretty too.
Stay tuned and hopefully I'll show you soon what I made with some of these mystery beads. Thanks so
much for stopping by everyone. I'll link these beads down below if you're interested in giving
giving a shot at a mystery bag. Here's a plastic one. It's a little purple heart. I'll leave the
links for these two down below so you can go give them a try yourself and see what kind of fun you
get in your mystery bag. If you do and you make videos share it with all of us. I'd love to see if
you get something different. Thanks so much everyone for stopping by. I hope you have a good day. Bye.
