Vous visiterons ensemble aujourd’hui « la vallée des rois »
C'est au sein de cette vallée que résident les tombeaux des pharaons du Nouvel Empire.
Ces tombeaux correspondent aux demeures d'éternités des pharaons qui y sont enterrés.
Les égyptiens du nouvel empire qui vivaient tous dans la région de Thebes ne construisaient plus de pyramides pour protéger les tombes et sarcophages des pharaons, des reines et leurs familles. Ils utilisaient les montages en forme de pyramides qui entouraient cette vallée, sans tenir compte des alignements, des angles et de l’orientation vers les points cardinaux.
C’est à cet endroit que le fameux tombeau intacte (non-pillé) du pharaon Tutankamun qui a été découvert par hasard par un jeune porteur d’eau qui avait trouvé la première marche du temple en 1922, en creusant le sol pour trouver de l’eau à vendre.
Le trésor inestimable qui y fut trouvé est précieusement conservé actuellement au musée du Caire (Voir l'autre reportage à ce sujet).

It is within this valley that the tombs of the New Kingdom pharaohs reside.
These tombs correspond to the eternal residences of the pharaohs who are buried there.
The Egyptians of the new empire who all lived in the region of Thebes no longer built pyramids to protect the tombs and sarcophagi of pharaohs, queens and their families. They used the pyramid-shaped mounts that surrounded this valley, without taking into account the alignments, angles and orientation towards the cardinal points.
It is here that the famous intact (unlooted) tomb of Pharaoh Tutankamun which was discovered by chance by a young water carrier who had found the first step of the temple in 1922, while digging in the ground to find water for sale.
