There are different tricks in math that one could use for playing games with kids - and kids could use to prove their mental math tricks with their parents - so it could always turn out to be something they could learn from and at the same time have fun with.
In this educational video, the game played here - or the math trick - is all about getting 8 as the final answer no matter which number you tend to choose or your parents consider choosing while playing with you. This is fun and magical, both at the same time!
The idea behind this magical trick is tricking people and bringing them the same final answer no matter which number they choose to play with. This could happen through several different ways, the kid could make it appear like he/she knows the final answer that easily, and it could make the magic appear like they are bringing the same answer every single time but with different numbers chosen, and thus they will make the person they are tricking choose several numbers.
There are different steps to be followed which the kid should always remember in order for this trick to work out and in order for the answer to be always 8. Here are the steps that need to be followed:
- First, a number should be chosen.
- Second, number one should be subtracted from this chosen number.
- Third, the answer should be then multiplied by three.
- Fourth, this will then be added to twelve.
- Fifth, the answer will be then divided by three.
- Sixth, adding five to the final answer will be the coming step.
- Seventh, the answer that was first chosen at the beginning should be now subtracted from the final answer that is found.
Eventually and after following all these different steps, the answer that should come up at the end and which the kid should work all the magic on will be 8. It is always interesting to follow the same steps and choose different numbers while you are playing around with math and still manage to bring the same answer at the end of the road.
There are several tricks to play when it comes to math and some of them are following the same idea we have brought in this video but with other steps and which bring different other numbers at the end as the outcome. Here are some mental math tricks to check in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twS7IsZ_ttk), there are also other mathematical tricks that are played with numbers and which are similar to the one we have brought here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tx-AWPOERbs), there are also some tricks related to subtraction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSYXMxtzGbA) and there are some tricks played with math puzzles as well (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmQa0W_R-fc).
Is your kid considering to become a mathemagician (just within his/her friends)? Then learning these different tricks will help in the process and it will also give those excited about learning more things about math the chance to reach their final destination and get more informed about the whole thing (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5x0O4ArolQ).
It is always interesting to learn more about math and get the chance to play these tricks with friends and family members and show them that the answer will always be the same and that your tricks will all work out.
In addition to playing these tricks in general for the purpose of fun, kids could also learn some tricks which will help them with some mathematical operations, it could help them to learn addition tricks (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQxUX7XZmGw), it could help them to learn some tricks in subtraction, multiplication or division, so they will eventually end up learning something new related to the world of math.
Let's play this game and see how far we could get! Choose a number and give your kids the chance to play with you and bring out their skills and abilities, let them trick you and show how good they are when it comes to math.
