Madeleine Marie Robin, known as Mado Robin (1918 - 1960), was a French highly gifted coloratura soprano. She was a star of television and radio in the 1950s and was very well known in France. She had been blessed by heaven with a broad vocal range, and above all she mastered the high vocal registers elegantly.

Here she sings the aria of Gilda in the first act of the opera Rigoletto with a wonderful ease and perfection.

On this day, the cherry blossoms were in bloom, and only here and there was a glimpse of the blue sky above which gulls and a milan circled, soaring the sky just as the sopranos voice masters the highest notes with ease.
