After spending most of last year cycling almost 10,000km from Switzerland to Asia, we are officially starting the ultimate finale of our journey: trekking the legendary Everest Three Passes and Everest Base Camp in Nepal.

In this first episode, we leave Kathmandu behind and board a tiny plane bound for Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla—famously known as the most dangerous airport in the world. We take our first steps into the Khumbu region, follow the rushing turquoise waters of the Dudh Koshi River, cross massive suspension bridges and vertical switchback climb to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar (3,440m).
