The Dave Show Episode #265 (AKA AI created headshots!!)

Today I wanted to share just a few thoughts with you about what I thought was pretty entertaining and that is some AI generated photos of me. What you can see here are a handful of photos that I had AI create for me and you know generally they're kind of fun. Interesting for sure but not necessarily anything I would choose to use. I mean there are a couple of them that look pretty much like me but some of them look very very strange. So the process is really simple. It's just an online website that I uploaded. I think it was 10 different photos of myself in different clothing and different backgrounds and then the AI processes it all and now we end up with what we see here. So let me show you a couple of funny things. I mean clothes that I would really never wear. I mean that's a cool outfit but I've never worn an outfit like that. You know scrubs. Of course I am a dentist so I wear scrubs periodically and that's where some of the photos that I uploaded indicated scrubs. You know you can see varying thinness and of course I've widened and narrowed over the years as many people do and have. Let me show you what's really entertaining. So some of these pictures have what's really entertaining is the text that's on them. So I would assume that the AI just isn't this particular algorithm wasn't programmed necessarily to be able to make words that make sense. So I'm assuming that was a hospital and renamed it to Pete Hortle. So this is lovely as well. Right. I don't know what this is. That's a zipper baglet. Maybe that's a mirror. I don't I'm not sure what that is there. This one's pretty good too. If we look. I'll stick this wide room. You know maybe this is Finnish or Swedish or something. This spelling is really interesting. And then what is this unique contraption. That's pretty fun. I'm not not sure what that is. Looks like a binder clip and, you know, a piece of tubing is an AI fun. All right. Let's look at this one here. So this is probably the most fun from a word standpoint. Hen Festica's destroyers like the destroyer of Hen Festica, which is hilarious. Maybe in other another language. This is actually, you know, has meaning. But for English speakers, no. Hen Festica's destroyers is just entertaining and funny. You know, the cars in the background look pretty routine. Nothing too special there. But that that language is hilarious. One more. Here's me. Hon fizzle hush ties. Hush ties. I love it. And then this car is parked at an angle. You know, not sure if that's a handicap spot or not. But kind of entertaining stuff here for sure. So AI, you know, one of the things that I'm trying to learn more about is how to use AI as part of, you know, preparation for, you know, videos and editing. And there's some really interesting processes that are out there for videos. I'm sorry for photos. It seems to do a pretty good job. Again, what we're talking about is just a complicated computer computer algorithm that can synthesize data, which is interesting. But the language, at least in this particular situation, the algorithm that controlled the language with this particular AI generated photo set. Here's another one. Stodger Raken. That's good. Stodger Raken. Interesting. The algorithm, like I said, with this particular one just wasn't quite where we needed it to be. This is an interesting, would be an interesting place to work, though, at Pete Hortle. So thanks for tuning in. Kind of entertaining. Just really funny. Hopefully you've enjoyed this. I know AI is a work in progress, and I think it definitely is coming from the standpoint of being a fantastic tool that many of us will use in many of our, you know, different walks of life. Treatment planning and evaluating and identifying carries and infections and dentistry and all sorts of other things. So, but yeah, for language, it's not not so good yet. So thank you. See you later.
