Shinju is looking dangerous at the back there, but Piggy Smalls has a burst of speed and he might get his first win of Week 2, and he does.
But look at the acceleration of Piggy Smalls as he passes Bear with ease there.
But Bear responds and I think Bear might actually take it back off him, and she does.
But it's Smalls and Bear once again fighting out in a grudge match to see who's going to win and get the third win, and it's Bear at the line.
Nettles is the dish of the day for Hoshio Inku.
And his eating has turned into comfort eating as he waves goodbye to any chance of winning the championship in Season 1.
That said, he can still win a round, which is a very impressive feat in itself.
So fingers crossed for Hoshio Inku in the next seven races.
And while Hoshio Inku is eating, let's have a look at the points as we head into the second to last round of Season 1.
Piggy Smalls is the pig to beat.
He finds himself seven points clear of his main rival and only championship contender, Ginger Hamilton.
This round absolutely vital for both pigs if they want to be in a good position for the finals next week.
Let's head over to the first race of the third round.
The pin's pulled.
And Piggy Smalls gets a great start on the near side. Ginger's also looking dangerous and so is Hoshi.
But Piggy Smalls is the pig to beat right now.
Ginger is making ground and she's making quite a lot of ground as well.
But no, Piggy Smalls gets it and it's a dream start for the American as he increases his lead on the championship by another three points.
The UK is going to have to do a lot better if they want to knock that pig off the top spot.
Bear says no to eating in her tray and Piggy Smalls has to look elsewhere.
When the door goes down, Piggy Smalls does get the best start, but not only that, he holds it all the way down the track.
Ginger makes a late challenge, but it's all too little too late from the pig from the UK.
Hoshi will be happy with podium, but I don't think Bear will be happy with fourth.
Now Bear is an extremely calm pig.
And why wouldn't you be?
After the round two that Piggy Smalls has had and that form flowing into the first race of round three,
Piggy Smalls is only a few race wins away from greatness.
Let's see what happens in this next race.
The pins pulled and Bear does get a good start and so does Piggy Smalls as well.
And this is looking like a repeat of round two.
And it is because Bear's pulling forward a bit and she may well get a personal best here.
And she is four milliseconds away from the course record, which was set by her in round one.
That is a fantastic performance from the Russian.
Is Bear going to be on form for round three as well?
I don't think she's going to win the championship, but she hasn't won a round so far.
This may be her round.
Very good stuff there.
And Hoshi leaves a tray empty for some reason and the vacuum is filled by Smalls.
That's pigs for you.
As the race starts, both Bear and Smalls get great starts,
but it becomes apparent that Bear is just in a league of her own and doing a time trial at this point
and tries to beat her personal best and only just misses it.
It's a really, really solid performance from Bear.
And here are the championship contenders.
It's Piggy Smalls from the Thunder Pigs and Ginger Hamilton from the Kunikuni Warriors.
The pig racing team's not really featuring much in season one.
They'll become more relevant in later seasons, but for now, not much separates the two pigs.
The stats do lean slightly more to Piggy Smalls, so if you were a betting man, you might pick him.
But there really isn't much in it at this stage.
Let's see if a gap can open in round three, just before the finals.
The race starts. Bear looks like she's got a good start.
No, Ginger pulls forward as well, though, and so is Hoshi.
And there's hurdles, and that's made a complete difference to the race.
And they're going over, and Ginger is looking like she's been doing these for years.
That is an extremely impressive performance from a pig who has never, ever seen hurdles in a lifetime.
Five of them approach the hurdles for the first time.
Three of them look like they could do it, and two of them look stiff as rakes.
And one of those was the points leader.
That is making waves in this competition, and the league has surprised all of them there.
When the door drops, five approach the first hurdle, but it becomes apparent that it's a two-tier system,
and three of them cruise over.
The other two look like they are struggling heavily, and that is going to change the whole league
and turn it on its head.
That's extremely exciting stuff.
It's the adorable Peppa Sanchez from Mexico.
She is going to seek some water on this baking hot day.
And so she returns to the newest addition in the paddock.
It's the Iron Sombrero.
The Iron Sombrero has been airlifted in from Switzerland,
and is currently being trialed against the trays to see which is the best food receptacle for the pigs.
Hoshi now joins Peppa for a drink as well.
Hoshi can be curious with cameras around, and he is.
And Piggy Smalls, calm as always.
He's still got his swagger, but his ego must have been bruised after that last race.
He needs to be on his game in this next one.
And we've got another hurdles race in race four.
And they're off.
And Peppa and Bear get a great start.
Will they do okay on this first hurdle?
Yes, they do, and actually Peppa's out in front.
Will she get a first win?
No, she slows down, and now it's all Bear's.
And I think Bear's going to set a course record as well, and she does.
Of course she does.
It's Bear, and it's 10.84, and it's a supreme performance.
But the news of the day is Piggy Smalls gets the first last place he's ever received,
and he is not adjusting well to this new format,
and the cracks are starting to show for this big American.
And it's a great day for Ginger and Bear.
As they approach this first hurdle, just look at Piggy Smalls.
He can't take it, and he does it on the second as well.
He does everything but jump it, and it's costing him big time in the overall points competition.
And I have a feeling that these hurdles will not stop.
Bear Trotsky is having a fantastic day out at the races.
She has set the new record for the hurdles.
She's nearly beat her previous record on the sprints,
and she's ahead on points for Round 3.
Things can't get much better for Bear right now.
Let's see if she continues that performance for the last few races.
Let's see what happens in Race 5.
And they're off, and Bear gets a great start, and so does Piggy Smalls.
Ginger's on the outside as well, and Piggy Smalls drops right back on that first hurdle.
And the others sense an opportunity for a points lead here,
and Bear's out in front, but Ginger's fighting,
and is taken to the line. I have no idea who's won that.
Sensational performance from Bear and Ginger.
Smalls drops right off at the back.
Race Radio's given 10 points to Ginger.
I don't know how they've managed to give her the win.
Can you believe it? You see them all get to that first hurdle,
but Piggy Smalls makes a meal of it again.
And he's in denial if he thinks he can keep doing that and win the season.
He really is.
I still think it's Bear.
They come down. Let's just have a look at that.
I still can't see it.
They come down.
That is a fraction of an inch.
Unbelievable stuff in Race 5.
You will not see a closer pig race than that.
Well, well, well, what a difference a round of pig racing can make.
Ginger started the day at the underpig,
and now she finds herself on the top of the overall points competition.
If she keeps this up, she'll have a good lead into the finals.
Let's see what happens in these next few races.
And it's a straight sprint for Race 6.
And they're off.
And Bear gets a great start and forces Ginger on the outside.
Ginger's keeping up, though.
Peppa Sanchez is blocking Smalls from coming up any further.
Hoshi's on the outside.
But it looks like it's going to be Bear's.
Oh, no!
Oh, it was so, so close.
I think still Bear got it.
But Ginger did a last-minute grab once again and almost won that.
Yes, Race Radio has given Bear 10 points.
Very, very dangerous by Ginger in those last few meters.
Smalls is hemorrhaging points.
He does a good job to get third after he was blocked out by Sanchez.
But he is on a real losing streak right now.
But coming down, Bear gets a good start.
Ginger does well to keep up and nearly snatches it at the line.
These pigs are neck and neck.
And the gang before the final race.
And what a round of pig racing it's been.
Ginger and Bear are at each other the whole time this round.
Since Race 2, it's been Bear, Ginger, Bear, Ginger, Bear.
Will Ginger get the final race?
Let's see.
Whoever does win this final race will determine who wins the round.
So that's quite exciting there.
Piggy Smalls has his own headlines, but that's for all the wrong reasons.
And the league has announced that hurdles are the new standard for Season 2 as well.
So the pigs better get used to it.
Let's see what happens in this final hurdle race.
Pimples, door goes down.
Ginger and Bear get a great start.
Smalls does not.
And they're coming up to the first hurdle.
And Ginger stumbles.
It looks like it's going to be Bear's, I think.
And they're coming to the second.
Will it be?
And Ginger stumbles again.
I think it's got to be all wrapped up for Bear, surely.
No, it isn't.
And once again, you cannot separate them at all.
What's Race Radio say?
It's given a draw.
They've both got 10 points.
Unbelievable.
Surely not.
They didn't give a draw before.
And that was a fraction of an inch.
It can't be the same.
They come to that.
And you see Ginger stumble.
And she stumbles on the second one as well.
But that last minute spur to speed in the last few metres
apparently means that she ties with Bear.
That is so close.
Surely it's not a draw.
It is exactly the same.
Unbelievable.
I stand corrected.
That's the closest pig race you'll ever see.
And as we approach the finals, Ginger is the pig everyone's talking about.
She now rises back to first.
After being seven points behind at the beginning of the round,
she now finds herself 11 points in front.
It's a great 18-point swing.
Smalls will be bitterly disappointed with round three.
He's going to have to do a lot better on the hurdles
if he's to have a chance in the finals.
And Bear claims her first-round victory.
So that's fantastic news for Russia.
Join us again next week for the first-ever finals of the League of Pigs.
