All right, in honor of fan appreciation for your halftime entertainment, it is back
by popular demand. It's the 2024 Bolt Up Corgi Cup. As you can see behind me,
we have our corgi cup right here, and this is going to one of these corgis today. Here's how
it works. On behalf of our friends at Lazy Dog Restaurants, this is going to be a race to
remember. We have 12 corgis. We're going to split them up into two different races, six dogs in each
race. Only two dogs will make it to the championship round from each race, and those
four dogs in the championship round, only one can be crowned our 2024 Bolt Up Corgi Cup champ.
But we're going to add another layer this year. Because it's fan appreciation, each dog has a
corresponding season ticket member down here on the field. That corresponding season ticket member,
if their dog wins, wins a $1,000 gift card to the official Chargers team store. Not only that,
each corgi also represents a section here in SoFi Stadium. I'm going to read them out as I
introduce the dogs. If your section wins, we've got free giveaways coming to your section. From
our friends at Lazy Dog Restaurants, we've got meal cards coming your way for crave-worthy dishes
that are available for dine-in, take-out, or delivery. All right, it's time to meet our dogs.
First up in lane one, presenting section 214. That's 214. Give it up for the defending champion,
Arlo, representing section C215. It's Chappy. In lane three, representing section 317. Give it up
for Emmett. In lane four, representing section 405. Give it up for Kirby. Lane five, representing
section 331. It's Pippa. And rounding out heat one, representing section 227. It's Ziggy. All
right, corgis, take your mark. I'm gonna count you down from three, wait for the word go. In three,
two, one, go! Oh, we got a fast start. We got a little banter in the middle.
We've got winners! All right, we're going to the judges to verify our winners.
Let's show the replay. It looks like we've got Arlo and Emmett. Again, if you're in the section
out there, that's section 214 and section 317. Your dogs are winners. Arlo and Emmett are through
to the championship round. Wow, what a finish. All right, let's meet the racers in heat number two.
First up in lane one, representing section 224. It goes by HRTuffnStuff. Give it up for Archie.
Next in lane two, representing section 418. He goes by Boogie. It's Badger. In lane three,
representing section 315, Luna Tuna. In lane four, representing section C110, Mr. Finley McMagic.
Lane five, representing section 504. It's Tony. And in lane six, representing section 553. It's
Willie. All right, Corgis, take your mark. I'm going to count you down from three. Don't go until
I say the word go. In three, two, one, go! Oh, they're off. Oh, we got a fast start in the
Herbert jersey. Oh, wow! Oh, we got a couple in the back. They're fighting, they're arguing.
That's all right, we already got winners. They might not be arguing. We'll see. Our winners.
First up in lane five, representing section 504. He goes by Touchdown Tony. It's Tony.
And representing section 553, it's Willie. All right, our final four dogs. In lane number one,
again, representing section 214, it's Arlo. Next up, representing section 317, we have Emmett.
In lane three, representing section 504, he goes by Touchdown Tony. It's Tony.
And last but not least, in lane four, representing section 553, it's Willie.
All right, Corgis, take your mark. Fans, make some noise. This is our championship round. I'm
going to count you down in three, two, one, go! They're off for all the marbles. Oh, my god!
It's a two-dog race! We got winners! Our winner's taking a victory lap. Let's look at a replay to
make sure, just to soak it in. Our winner, bring him on over. He's got to show off. He just wants
to take a victory lap. I love it. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the winner of the
2024 Bolt Up Corgi Cup Championship and still defending champion. Give it up for Arlo!
