In today’s video, I am recreating this romantic tradition for my beautiful wife. Using wild Motherwort (益母草) harvested from the hills, I followed the ancient calcination method—kneading the stalks with rich rice water and firing them in a hand-built mud pit for a full day and night. Combined with the vibrant, extracted pigments of Cochineal (胭脂虫) and a delicate touch of pure pearl powder, this isn't just makeup; it’s a floral and mineral tribute to a thousand years of elegance.
