Follow me in this week's vlog as I juggle wrapping up a full-time job,
packing my apartment, and trying to have an active social life all in one.
I'm going for a run for the first time in a year? No. I think the last time I ran was
in October actually, so not a full year. Let the record show. I'm going for a run amidst this mess.
My room is- there's just a lot going on. I have so many random things everywhere because I'm in
the process of throwing a lot of things away, donating clothes, and then getting rid of a lot
of junk, I guess. I wouldn't say I'm a minimalist, but I do try to not accumulate a lot of things,
and even yet, here I am finding that I've accumulated so much. It's just a hassle to
move out when you have a lot of things in your house. Slowly going through sorting everything.
Yeah, I'm going for a run because in the morning when I run and I come home, I'm always very
productive for that day. So I think going for a run will wake up my mind and my body, and I can
come back and get things done. Hopefully. We'll see. Because usually on Saturdays, I sleep in a bit,
but then I find that when I sleep in, I'm a little bit more sluggish or reluctant to get out of bed
and get started, so I'm forcing myself to wake up early and go on a run. And yes, I have a running
buddy that holds me accountable, so I can't say no. But no, I want to go run. Trust me. Let's do it.
I ran a smooth 3k at Yoyogi Park and then got lunch in Harajuku.
And then in this narrow little cafe, grabbed a latte.
Back home and feeling productive, I took a shower and then dived in- dived? Dove. Dove in to what I
had to start packing. I have so many little trinkets, like this little bear. Tamagotchi.
I don't need to hold on to these, but I don't necessarily want to throw them away either.
Ah, they're so cute. I don't know what to do.
I just feel a bit overwhelmed because I have so many different things going on.
I still have three to four weeks and I'm doing things little by little. I saw this image on
Twitter. I'll just put it here, but there are a lot of things that I need to do, but today there's
only so much that I can realistically do, so that's the mindset that I'm trying to go into
this with. These are the boxes I'm thinking about shipping home, and then this suitcase is what I'm
I'm thinking it'll be easier to start with the necessities and then that way work backwards to
what I don't need. I just have a feeling that's gonna make it a little easier. I'm doing the
important stuff first and getting that out of the way. I don't know, that's my new technique, so
let's see if that works. Oh my gosh, I look like a founding father right now. I'm doing a face mask
before I sleep. When I'm stressed, my skin starts to look more tired somehow and it just feels more
so I'm doing a little bit of a touch-me-up. It's like a powder and you just add water, so
mix that together. I have a lot to do tomorrow, so I'm gonna try to sleep a little bit early tonight.
I look like a sludge monster, but that's okay. On my Instagram story, I posted a few things that
I was giving away for free, and then the next day I went to Shibuya to hand them out.
Other than that, today was a very side quest type of day. I kept seeing a lot of cute dogs
and then somehow found myself at a backgammon national tournament.
Also stopped by a Jujutsu Kaisen pop-up and then a Star Wars pop-up. All that said,
it was nice to just have a day to be silly and get my mind off of things, even just temporarily.
Trash. This is trash and I'm donating this bag of clothes here, some pots and pans that I need
to take to the garbage area. So these three things are my get rid of to-do list for today.
The next morning, I gave away something else in Shibuya
and then went straight to IKEA for their morning breakfast, which was super delicious
and super cheap, by the way, and it's also a great place to study and get work done.
And just as it had arrived, my golden week vacation was over just like that.
Good morning. It's Thursday, so I have to go back to work today after the golden week.
I was like greasy. I look like a thought, like an illusion. At the beginning, when I first
joined the company, I was working like maybe eight to ten hours of overtime and this past month, it
was three minutes of overtime. I still have three weeks of being a salary woman and yeah,
that's my morning update. All right, I've put makeup on and showered, so my hair's a little
bit damp still, but I think it'll dry because it's getting humid and hot outside these days.
I really don't want to get out of bed and leave my apartment, but technically, I only have
seven full days of work left. Yeah, because I'm going to take a little bit of time off,
especially for move-out stuff, a full week just so I can really move out completely and clean up
and everything. So yeah, guys, I'm almost there and it's crazy because even in Korea, I also had
to move out on my own. I don't know, when you have to move out on your own, it is a little bit
stressful trying to figure out like where to throw everything away. Especially in Asia,
the trash system here is really different from the States. You can't just like take everything
and throw it away at once. You have to sort it out or take things to special places. You have
to be more mindful of all that. I'm doing it little by little, so I don't feel overwhelmed.
I don't even feel too stressed. I think before, when I knew everything I had to do, I felt more
stressed, but now that I'm in motion, I feel less stressed, if that makes sense.
Gosh, my leg is falling asleep. Anyways, I'm gonna get ready for work.
I have to like step over all of this trash. Oh my gosh. Thanks, guys, for tuning into my vlog
this week. It was a very hectic week and I think the upcoming weeks will still be a bit hectic.
I like working to have things to do, to have tasks, but my mind is like still that way. My
mind is like, go, go, go, go, let's get this done. Now that I'm leaving work, I should try to squeeze
in all these things that I still want to film, but then my body is trying to catch up. My body's
like, please. Like that image of that one fish in Spongebob that's dragging himself on the ground
into the Krusty Krab, that's what my body feels like sometimes. So I'm trying to slow down,
prioritize my health, and listen to my body instead of listening to my mind only.
So thanks for watching and peace out.
