week in my life in NYC (things take a turn)

[Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] good morning everybody it's Tuesday and we're doing a week of my life I am so happy to be in New York for a while for me a while is 2 weeks like two weeks uned in New York is so exciting for me I spent the whole day yesterday unpacking from all three of my trips or two three I don't even know anymore honestly no three I had a wedding I had n Tucket and then I had I went to Bama for the Bama Georgia game and we lost but you know what we came back strong and like I can sleep at night so um but yeah we are getting back to business it's officially October it's October 1st and I'm feeling so beyond motivated to just nest and get my life together and I don't know I feel like summer got really crazy in September was especially crazy and I feel just I love waking up in my apartment I feel so grateful to be here and I'm just feeling motivated so we're going to go workout now um I'm wearing this set it's like 65° outside a little chilly got a bomber on and just some slides I'm going to Equinox and I'm doing a ball of bangle bar class um I'm eating kit there she's going grabbing a water and we are going to head to Equinox and then come back and I want to try making a breakfast bowl I'm inspired so see you guys there we are back from my workout class I put my heatless curlers back in cuz I kind of sweat a lot in that class and I showered breakfast bowl this is what we're working with my avocados aren't ripe yet sadly so I'm going to do a couple eggs I'm going to cook this ground chicken you could do ground turkey ground chicken ground beef I chose ground chicken this time black beans I'm trying to eat more beans and then um some salsa and you could add cheese if you want I mean maybe even cottage cheese give be a moment I don't have any cottage cheese at the moment and then I have taco seasoning for the chicken so I'm going to make this [Music] [Music] [Music] now okay let's build this bowl I'm not sure if I should put the meat on the bottom or the eggs on the bottom I'm going to do the meat on the bottom cuz I think I'm going to have the most meat and now I have some more for the rest of the week so I've got my ground chicken the taco seasoning eggs on top and then we've got the black beans which I will put on like one side to make it wow an avocado would just look so beautiful in this bowl and then we got the salsa I guess I could add some hot sauce if need be these are cracking me up I really wanted fresh Pico Deo but Whole Foods did not have that at the moment what if there's a way I could I feel like I can meal prep these minus the eggs okay then we've got the salsa taada I feel like this is about to be so good maybe I should add some salt and pepper to the eggs on some of the eggs at least yay cheers guys that was so tasty oh my God I loved that that was like I mean avocado would have been good but honestly was fire without it so we love that oh my gosh I'm so full I'm so happy that was so full of taste the salsa definitely helped and the black be ah and the oh my God everyone needs to make that and now it's time to refill all my supplements apartment is nice and clean right now I've got some laundry going today is a work from home kind of day I mean pretty much every day is work from home for me but you know what I mean like we are table topping it up getting down to business playing lowii beats like it's that kind of day I need to clear my inbox I have multiple things to edit multiple things to plan um so this is my setup I'm just so happy with how my apartment's turning out and once I am done with my work for the day I'm going to give you guys an apartment updates because there's lots of updates okay it's a couple hours later I am done with my computer work for now and then the emails will you know get responded to and then I'll get back to them but for now we are good editing is done I feel amazing okay updates let's see so I already showed you guys I believe my shelf that I got from Nathan James I'm obsessed with it though um I did add this little bowl of my matchboxes because as you guys know Ryan got me that like frame thing that you can put them all in um but I'm struggling where to put that so for now I took all of them out and put them in there I think that's cute but if you guys have a place that I could hang up my Matchbox frame let me know I also like trying to figure out with my table it what I want to live on here always I did get um place mats but I didn't really like how they looked there like I think I'll just take them out as I want to eat you know um or like when I have people over I don't really want them out all the time cuz I like to work here too but I'm like should I get something for the middle of the table but a lot of times I get flowers and I put them there should I put that there I feel like that'd be too big I also got a slow cooker I so excited fully motivated influenced to do this by Katie bot she always makes lovely crock poot recipes um and it's fall it's soup season I feel like it's the perfect time I'm going to have to learn how to use this I got it yesterday so I'm going to make some slow cooker meals I'm really excited so comment down below any of your favorite recipes or where you find your favorite recipes I need to get like a slow cook recipe book I think that would be really fun this is from the brand rplay it's where I have all myet pots and pans from I love them so much and I got this one in case I wanted to keep it out so it still like you know stayed nice and aesthetic I also saw something like this on Pinterest and I thought it was a really cute way to store my like cooking utensils I got this off of a website called I think it was called McGee and Co but they had similar ones on Pottery Barn Etsy I just love this like ceramic look look I think that looks really really nice right there a few additions to the living room first one well they're both very obvious my coffee table and my plant they are both here and I couldn't be happier I ordered this coffee table over a month ago it came from a store in Amsterdam they make them to order and basically the way Sierra found this cuz I sent her a photo on Pinterest I was like I want something like this she reverse image searched it and found it on this random website and we were kind of nervous cuz it's like a Gamble sometimes and it wasn't cheap so it was like okay hopefully this isn't a scam but it is everything and more I wanted just a super slim one since there's not a ton of space right here lad to the ground actually feels so nice when I put my feet up on it oh my God am I am obsessed I am so obsessed with it it seriously fits the space perfectly and then per my family's request and my desire I got a plant this is a real life plant I mean soil and all dead leaves like you know I kind of have to pick them up sometimes I am so happy I got this from a plant delivery shop um here in New York it's like next day delivery plants they like brought it up into my apartment which was so nice cuz I imagine this is really heavy I got the black pot which is perfect cuz I feel like it ties in you know the black table the black coffee table just you know some black accents and I knew it was a sign because this is called the Danielle Fus it's a Fus it's called the Danielle Fus so it just it made sense I think it fits the space so nicely I am just so happy and it's going to grow I also got a little a little watering can of course a cute little black one um and I've watered it a couple times already like I feel so wholesome when we were on y Tucket I bought this little book at a store oh it literally says the little book of fendy and I thought that looked really nice at the coffee table book my mom got me for my birthday um I think they look really cute together I also got this starfish on Nantucket as well I I mean it was $5 I don't think it was I don't really know if this I don't think it was a real one what is the ethics on that but I thought it was so cute and a little taste of coastal energy in my apartment so I have that on top of my little book that Stores um my remote let me let me clear up what's in here um Ryan and I were watching the perfect couple and they actually sent me PR and it's basically you if you watched at one of my last Vlogs you already know what this is but it's like trying to decide who the suspect is like who who killed Merritt um anyways I don't have like a random man in my remote box um so anyways that's what's there still going to try and figure out how I'm going to decorate this what that's going to look like and then I believe I already showed you guys I got a third Euro sham pillow and this duvet to go over top for some layering and I'm really happy with it um you guys are so sick of me talking about this but I am still trying to figure out what to put above my bed a part of me is like should I just get it lime wash but so much admin I think I found a piece of artwork that I really like and I was I basically took a photo of this and took the photo that I want and I like Photoshopped it in to see what it looks like and I think I like it and then one random addition in here I got the echo spot I think there's the echo Dot and this is the echo spot I basically got this it's amazing basically I can play music at the same time in my kitchen and in here because believe it or not it's very soundproof in here so if I'm playing music in the kitchen which is where my Alexa is I can't really hear in here which is really sad so I got this and I can play music it's like having Sonos in a way and they connect and they'll play music so if I'm cleaning like last night I was cleaning my apartment I was going from one room to the next and it was so nice because music was everywhere I'm really trying to figure out what to do here as you guys can see I finally cleared out the tub which is stunning so I need it to be properly showcased and this is not it I just have so many random tote bags and stuff I don't know a part of me is like like these baskets came from my last apartment this you guys know I bought but a part of me is like should I get a bigger something here to put stuff in I don't know I'm like kind of stumped on what to do here cuz I just am in need of more storage so that's the update that I have on the apartment right now I kind of feel like I need to get some darker pillows or like a darker throw blanket or something to kind of pull the couch in here let me know what you guys think of course if you follow me on Tik Tok you already know this but I did want to highlight in the Vlog too for my birthday two people in my life got me soap and I'm obsessed so cat my amazing friend also amazing makeup artist got me this L soap it smells so good I purposely have been closing this bathroom door because when you open it it smells amazing this is the oregano scent and then Ryan got me hand soap from the one hotel which is so nice I'm obsessed every time I wash my hands in here now I'm like wow I feel like I'm at the one Hotel so very thoughtful I have two different options for my guests and you might be wondering why did you put that in here not your bathroom because honestly I use this bathroom so often because I'm usually working right there or right there and small bladder equals me and this is just easier so I actually use it all the time so I wanted some of my favorite soap in here taada I'm heating up an eat clean bro meal right now for lunch I've been obsessed with eat clean bro I know they have it New York and New Jersey I don't know what other states it's just like a meal delivery service but they like only use like grass-fed beef really good chicken they cook with extra virgin olive oil it's just very clean and you know what you're getting and the meals are so good and they have a really good balance of like protein carbs stuff like that 3 2 1 and they are delicious so this one is I actually haven't tried this one before each week they have a lot of the same ones but every now and then they'll introduce some new ones which I get excited about this I believe is beef broccoli edamame and cauliflower rice so I'm excited to try it this is usually I get the ones with rice but I was curious about what their cauliflower rice tastes like I mean it honestly just looks like thick cauliflower but this smells amazing and you guys know I love ground meat I mean I had ground chicken for breakfast this morning and then this we love that cheers it's a little bit later now I put on a little makeup and a semi- decent up I mean it's literally just a tea and jeans but I felt a little bit more put together I filmed a couple videos like home decor related and I also did like a wedding guest dress try on for Tik Tok because I need help on which dress I should wear to a wedding I'm going to in a couple weeks I also did some slight changes over here I moved this bowl to this side since there's Greenery there I was like let me pull this over to this side and then I brought those books onto my coffee table and I think I'm happy with this I don't know I got to live with it for a little bit but for now I'm liking this Vibe I just got off the phone with Zoe and Michaela from toyes organized cuz I was like I think I need to bring in the Professionals for this just get some better opinions and wow they this is perfect so I've been in here measuring we're going to get more bins to fill up that side and put more bags there like I have so much height we got to use the height and then I also have this this entryway area and those baskets in my bathroom that have all those bags in it used to be under this in my living room in my last apartment so they do fit here um I would be giving up like some space here and I like how I have some throwaway shoes not throwaway but like shoes that I can just throw on throw on shoes over here but that can all be fixed and moved around a little bit so I think we're going to put those there and then above here I have so much storage it's just like not utilized so um gonna get maybe some more bins for back there in that bag are like my Christmas ornaments and then the duffel I think we're gonna put in the front closet I don't know they have a they're going to come help me it's just going to happen so I'm very very grateful for them um but yeah and then this way I won't even need to get anything for my bathroom this truly would be best case scenario because then I don't needed to get anything for my bathroom in here um someone actually suggested o let me just do that oh my God Danelle that I move this this like that instead which I think is so cute like this wouldn't be there um but that's like if I use it as a true bath shelf situation but I kind of don't know if I'm going to use it as that so I'm like do I get some other little cabinet thing or I could get little baskets for this that could be cute little baskets to put in there and then the top shelf would be like bath salt stuff like that I also now that I finally emptied out my bathtub I need to take a bath I have not taken a bath bath yet it's so cozy in here right now oh my gosh and in here wow it's like really feeling homey now so I saw this on Tik Tok shop yep that's right this is the art of broth sipping broth and it's broth packaged in a tea bag so it makes it so easy if you're like on a flight or you're just needing a little something something um so I'm trying this right now it's currently steeping but it literally comes in a tea bag this is the chicken flavor and then I also got the Savory Tha Lemon Grass I really hope I like this I feel like if you're hung over if you're sick this would just hit the spot or if you're just wanting something warm but maybe you don't want like hot tea I feel like this is such a great substitute I'm I'm literally so excited it smells like Ramen noodles like the kind you would make in college in the dorm so I'm really hoping that it's good okay guys update it just finished um steeping and like as you can see it's all out of the bag now for the most part I just took my first sip it's so good it literally tastes like I made ramen noodles in college and I'm just sipping it out of the Styrofoam cup like I don't know if that is enticing to you guys but to me that is this is so good if you guys care it's only 14 calories so it's not super filling unfortunately but I feel like I need to put some of these in my tote bag for when I fly because you know you can always get hot tea and hot water like this is perfect or just when I'm at home and I want I am OBS my God I'm so happy with this I have my heatless curlers back on oh no and then this cool thing that is like in like red light therapy little lymphatic drainage it like is a little warm too on your skin it feels so nice I just love being home and like doing all these things I've been watching nobody wants this on Netflix it's so good and I feel like I'm almost done because I don't know how long the season is I'm on an episode 5 so I don't really know maybe it's 10 episodes which would be amazing I I will see you guys in the [Music] morning good morning I've had the most lovely morning ever um I literally put in my calendar though for later you must work out because I was going to work out this morning but I was really enjoying my morning and I was actually productive this morning getting work done normally I like to get work done in the afternoon but this morning I was just right on the computer getting after it but wow I think it's time for self-tan season I have this thing like no spray tans till September like from like May to September and then um we go from there but um I'm feeling a little pale so we're going to fix that here shortly but look at my heatless curls today swear to God I did not touch them I'm finding that the front pieces don't really curl very well so like I curl them with like my air wrap but I mean that just kind of helped I'm so impressed I'm so impressed we're going to make another breakfast scramble Bowl because that was just delicious yesterday and I woke up starving um I mean what's new I always wake up hungry like I love breakfast so much I'm really excited because I today is naal vodka day happy National vodka day it's a Wednesday um but I was invited by Kettle One vodka to go to lunch to celebrate at the polo bar the Ralph lauran Polo Bar in Upper East Side so naturally like I have to be there and I love vodka you guys know that um so I am thrilled that lunch is at noon so I'm like I got to eat breakfast now so I'm hungry by noon but like I can't wait till noon like I'm sure a lot of people like feel like so many people don't breakfast but I need breakfast okay so phone's not done updating this was like so dumb of me so I may just bring but see I transferred the wifi or the LTE to my new phone but my new phone is restoring from iCloud I switched I canceled the other one and I switched it to this but it's still not done I wonder if it'll go in the LTE so I'm just going to have to call my Uber here bring my old phone and just hope they have Wi-Fi at the ra floor in place um um but here's my outfit I'm wearing this super cute set it's from my edit with as the label it's say cropped Blazer and then the skirt like literally so cute so perfect and then I'm wearing brown tights I've officially broken out the brown tights loafers are from coach and then of course my Ralph Lauren ID bag I thought it was the perfect time a part of me is like do I need a necklace but I don't know which I'm going to add a necklace so quick gosh I'm going to be late I don't want to be late it's a lot later now um Polo Bar was Unreal I am still working with two phones cuz I had to just cancel the transfer and I'm going to do it tonight before I go to bed um but they were painting us while we were there I had no idea I was like heading out and the the illustrator was like wait wait wait I was just finishing painting you how cute there's me and a little Kettle One martini that was so lovely and then my assistant came over and we did we shot something for a campaign I'm doing and got some work done and now I told myself if I don't work out this morning cuz I was enjoying my morning I'm going to go work out in the evening and here I am I'm doing it workout set on and all wearing this aloe set and uh we're just going to go to the gym in my apartment walk on the treadmill and do some weights that's my plan [Music] good morning it's Thursday morning and I'm headed on a walk I'm going on a walk on the West High way with Bridget and Danielle I'm so excited we um we're talking about how we both um love all three of us love Westside Highway walks and we wanted to catch up so I'm going to meet them um on the highway and I'm really excited we're like they live in Tribeca I live in Chelsea so we're like meeting halfway between their neighborhood and my neighborhood on the West Side Highway I need a little to go coffee him definitely sleepy and it's my second day of my period so I'm like if you know you know it's the worst day ever but supposed to be good to walk so I'm excited my hat says frequent flyer Club it's from my friend Serena's um line she started I think it's called reset the label Serena pit um she sent it to me and I actually went to my old apartment yesterday because they were getting getting a ton of packages for me and my old doorman and I are still pal so he was like come before the Super throws him away because my old super hates me and I don't like him either we're just I was always nice to him but he scares me so anyways I was like let me come get those and this was there so I need to tell her my new address but um I also ordered a new phone case cuz this one isn't very me um but I did finally get a MAG safe octo buddy which is changing the game for sure I got a new phone case on castify that I'm really excited about um that's like tortoise so oh my gosh I need to sip of this coffee that's good all right let's go on our [Music] walk scramble is made my avocados were ripe today so got to add some of that I'm so hungry I'm so excited I just threw on a sweatshirt cuz I was feeling a little chilly and I made another cup of coffee I'm so sore because I haven't been working out and I like lifted weights last night I might need to have my first bath in my apartment today because CH girl is sore I need to go get some Epsom so and take a bath or there actually is a cold plunge and hot tub here um maybe I could utilize the hot tub I'm about to hop on a call I'm actually not sure if it's video or not um and then I have another call right after that but I made coffee and that makes me really happy and um yeah I have to to edit some things and then I have an event tonight and recording the podcast so that's kind of the layout of the day look at look at Danielle back there she looks so good I think I need to go home I just got off the phone with my mom and our community is just I think my family's been kind of shielding me from everything that's been going on at home for whatever reason and I just think I need to go home and be with my family like talking about the hurricane and everything it's just you know not just Florida like North Carolina oh my God my heart goes out to and I think I've been just trying to you know I've been staying in contact with my family sending money to our neighbors stuff like that but like there is just nothing like being there like not even to do anything like I'm sure there's still stuff to help with but like I just I think I need to go be with my family I think they need me and I think they just don't want to ask me I wish I just flew home earlier this week I think I just need to go home and be with my family I think they really need me I think I need to go see my neighbors I just need to I think I need to go home so I just need to figure out what that looks like I'm sorry my day has taken a turn uh I don't know if I should fly out first tomorrow morning or if I should like go tonight no idea what to do okay so I just canceled my next call I need to talk to Ryan on the phone but he's at work and he's not answering looking at flights like honestly I'd love to just like fly right now like tonight after we record God I'm like anxious now and come back like Monday night I'm going to Miss Brooks housewarming party I'm really sad but I know she'll understand well this Vlog has certainly taken a turn there's a 7:27 p.m. flight tonight that I think I can make if I pack a carry-on bag and just go I'm texting with Brooke right now she's like if you need to move the recording like but I think we just keep the recording and I go straight from there oh my God I can't believe it's meant to be I have literally other than Brook's party this weekend I really don't have anything I need to go home I haven't even told my family I'm C my mom is just like if you can it would be amazing we're doing this okay makeup is done hair I just pulled into a CLA clip it could be better and now I'm like [ __ ] I can't be late to the podcast recording CU I can't I got to like leave as soon as we're done um but yeah I just called my dad and my brother still have to tell my mom just going to wear this to the airport I'm going to throw a black sweater over top I there it's very few times I go to the airport with makeup on and like in an actual outfit but you know we got to get home my dad and brother were so happy I don't really want to like surprise my mom because I don't know the whole like she I know she like goes on find my friends sometimes wow I'm literally wearing like Dad sneakers with this I'm out of breath all of a sudden I'm in a rush like I haven't been in a rush and now I'm like [ __ ] I got to go suitcase we're just going to do sweater over the shoulders Vibe oh my God I look interesting I think I'm also loving a carryon bag because then I can put my tote bag on top and just roll with it all right let's go record the podcast and go to [Music] Florida made it home my favorite guy is right there about to go to sleep I'll see you guys in the morning hello everybody oh hi Finn it's a few days later it's Sunday and there just hasn't been much to Vlog um I've been enjoying time with my family um helping out the neighbors been doing some laundry stuff like that I feel really grateful that only our first floor was affected but like going for walks around the neighborhood is so sad like oh so many people are displaced from their homes for a very long time now there is this storm Milton tropical storm Milton that is projected to become a hurricane very soon and heading straight towards Tampa Bay as of now but if not Tampa just Florida in general and it's just a lot like everyone's finally just getting their you know back on their feet kind of in my neighborhood and just around obviously around this everywhere that was affected and I feel like this is just not ideal and I am just feeling funky because my flight is tomorrow night and I think I'm still going to go home because my mom and her boyfriend and Finley are going to evacuate like to like Central Florida as of now um and my brother and my dad I think are going to go stay at Freddy's apartment in St Pete so that's kind of where we're at right now I kind of wish they would go further but it just feels a little weird but also like they're evacuating anyways so it just kind of sucks it's like a weird feeling here right now that literal another storm is coming but makes me even more happy that I came here right now because I don't know I'm a little scared our house is pretty ready for Hurricane but like our dock has been completely I didn't even my family definitely underplayed like our dock is broken like there used to be a Ben chair stuff like that and so if a hurricane comes directly to Tampa which hasn't happened since we've lived here that'll be interesting Here Comes Freddy so that's where we're at right now okay so it's Monday now and I'm about to head to the airport to fly home I had this flight scheduled for tonight and um my family is all evacuating tomorrow to various parts of Florida um and they said I should just get back on this flight because either way like we've done we spent this whole morning my brother and I while my dad was at work bringing in all the furniture everything inside I brought things from downstairs that like survived the last one up um and we're really so blessed to have this second floor and like the first floor is not you know it's it's gutted now the first floor is gutted like we couldn't be more ready for Hurricane Mountain in that sense um but it's just scary cuz it just got upgraded to a category 5 um I'm really it's supposed to weekend before landfall hopefully till like a 3 or 4 um but it's scary and it's definitely really weird and I feel really weird leaving but my family is like we're literally all evacuating you need to go back home and if anything I'll fly back down to help out after but that's where we're at right now so hopefully our house will be look like this when I get back um best case scenario I won't be back until Thanksgiving hopefully I won't have to come back before that but uh it literally I just feel so weird like icky um but my mom like shook me and she was like go back we're leaving too like my they're going to Orlando my dad and brother I'm not sure exactly where they're going yet um obviously fin will be okay it's just a lot of our neighbors have already left um thank you guys for watching this Vlog this is kind of it started out with me getting
