RV Life in the Florida Keys | Driving the 7 Mile Bridge + Key West Adventures
We finally made it to the Florida Keys in our RV and this might be one of our favorite stops yet đ´â¨ In this video, we take you along for the journey as we drive the iconic 7 Mile Bridge and settle into Leoâs Campground, which ended up being the perfect home base for exploring Key West. From here, everything felt so easy and close, including one of our favorite experiences of the trip. We went kayaking through the mangroves with Lazy Dog, just a short walk from our campsite, and it was such a peaceful way to experience the Keys. We also woke up early to catch sunrise at the Southernmost Point in the continental USA, which is something you just have to do when youâre in Key West. Of course, we had to try some local favorites too. We grabbed breakfast at Blue Heaven, explored the Key West Lighthouse, and ended one of our nights with a date night at Sunset Pier where we watched one of the most beautiful sunsets. And you already know we couldnât leave without getting a slice of key lime pie from Kermitâs đ After soaking it all in, we packed up the RV and started the long journey back, driving 1500 miles to Tennessee to see Madisonâs family, then another 500 miles to Missouri to see Tylerâs family. This is where our next adventure really begins as we make our way out to Colorado.
