Adverbs are difficult to define. However, what grammar books tell us is that: They are words that modify the meaning of verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, or a whole sentence that is used to show time, manner, degree or place. They are usually made by taking an adjective and adding -ly. But not always! There are also flat adverbs that do not change. Let's not forget to mention intensifiers and mitigators, and what about those intensifiers that are now used in slang like wicked, uber, hella, etc. In this lesson, Mr. P./Marc will discuss all those points.
This lesson is intended for intermediate students who wish to improve their English grammar and those above levels who wish to clarify doubts about this topic.
