And the FBI warns that Chinese agents are using fake job offers to target Americans who have
access to sensitive information. At the same time, the U.S. just sanctioned several Chinese
companies for helping Iran acquire weapons. And today's Washington correspondent Jack Bradley
has more. The FBI is warning Americans to be on the lookout for Chinese agents posing as fake
employers online, targeting current and former U.S. government employees that have access to
sensitive information. China's intelligence services may be targeting you using deceptive
online job offers. It comes right after the FBI seized 13 websites saying that they were set up by
Chinese Communist Party agents who were posing as employers with lucrative job offers. In those
cases, investigators say Chinese agents reached out to U.S. government employees on major platforms
like LinkedIn. The applicants were offered money in exchange for sensitive information and the FBI
warning that the threat of Chinese spies online persists. If a job sounds too good to be true,
it probably is. The crackdown comes as Washington increases pressure on Beijing over another
national security concern. The Treasury Department has just sanctioned 11 people and companies
accused of helping Iran obtain weapons and military equipment. Nine of those targeted are
based in China and Hong Kong. Officials say that these companies helped Iran's military and Islamic
Revolutionary Guard Corps obtain weapons, the same weapons that are used against U.S. military
personnel in the region. The move freezes any U.S.-based assets and prohibits Americans from
doing business with the sanctioned individuals and companies. Whether through online recruitment
schemes or sanctions, Washington is increasingly putting pressure on threats tied to Beijing.
