Cheese CARNAGE 2026: Daredevils tumble in UK’s hottest Cheese Rolling race ever!

Footage from the 2026 Cheese Rolling contest which took place on Cooper’s Hill in Gloucester today (May 25, 2026). Throngs of thrill seekers threw themselves down a 1:2 gradient to chase after a wheel of Double Gloucester cheese. Tom Kopke, a 24-year-old German YouTuber, claimed his third consecutive title, but he had to fight for it. Local legend and Guinness World Record holder Chris Anderson (38) came out of retirement specifically to challenge Kopke.
Fans of the cheese roll, which dates back at least 250 years, came from all over the world to attend the event. It was the warmest cheese roll in recorded history, taking place in in 32c sunshine. Authorities have, in the past, tried to ban the event.
