Hey what's up guys and welcome back to the channel. This is your boy Ed and I'm here to
talk about a new shoe that I got coming straight from China. These are the Li Ning Red Hair 9
Ultras and let's get into the specs really quick. It's touted as a high cushion super trainer
and it's featuring a 45 millimeter stack of dual layer super boom foam and is a specialized super
boom capsule for maximum trampoline like bounce. These shoes are touted for long runs. I've even
heard online that you can even use it for zone 2 runs but my entire reason for getting these shoes
are for the long runs. As far as midsole technology they got a three layer system featuring a top
layer of standard boom tech. Earlier I talked about the stack height which is approximately 43 to 46
millimeters and with a drop of eight millimeters and it weighs for a men's US size 10 256 grams. I
wear a size 12 and a half and the outsole is a high coverage tough RB rubber for improved
durability and traction. So those are the specs of the shoes and I just wanted to let you know how I
felt like in these shoes and let me tell you I've had max trainers with max cushion and this definitely
does not feel like your typical max cushion shoe. In fact I feel more of it like as I can use it as
a speed shoe so when I was reading sites about having it as zone 2 I could see that but I can
actually see myself doing more speed workouts for this and also doing some long runs because I feel
like this is a really good way to have cushioned miles in a long run. I've got a marathon that I'm
training for soon and I want to be able to have something that's max cushion so I'm going to
definitely be adding these to my rotation. Now as far as the runs that I had I did take this on a 5k
and let me tell you it was my feet afterwards felt great but during the run it felt a lot of there's
a lot of cushion it felt like there's a lot of spring back and I'm just very surprised at how
the shoes perform. As you can see here I got the nice really beautiful colorway if you can see that
and the sole it's looking pretty good I'm going to give this a test tomorrow.
Again I'll be doing probably more than a 5k I'll put my stats up but overall I feel like if you
wanted to get these shoes these are really great if you're looking for something for the long run.
Can you do speed workouts tempo intervals I'll give it a try I think it should be okay and let
me see other than that I just recommend it I got mine off of Amazon for about $150 and I see that
in Asia these are going for about $100 but yeah these are good I even rivaled some of these have
been rivaled to higher end the $200 range shoes are higher but I think this actually ranges across
the $150 $100 range of shoes it's just the import tax makes a little bit more higher but if you're
red hair nine ultras is your go so let's go
me
i'm not you
Alright I just finished up my 5k with these and I gotta say that they come out pretty dope.
My feet are feeling good and my knees don't feel crazy, my ankles don't feel crazy.
So I'm gonna give it some more runs but first run is surely a good one.
