Daniel Tiger. Katarina gets mad.
Hi neighbor. It's me, Daniel Tiger. I'm at Music Man Stan's music shop.
There are so many instruments to play. My friends are here too.
Music Man Stan says we can each pick an instrument to play.
I'm not sure which one I want, but Katarina knows just what she wants.
She really wants to play the triangle. Which instrument would you want to play?
We all get in line. Katarina wishes she could pick first.
But today it's Prince Wednesday's turn to be first.
Prince Wednesday picks the trumpet. Then it's my turn.
I pick the piano. Next it's Oh the Owl's turn.
He picks the drum. Now it's Miss Elena's turn.
Do you know what she picks? She picks the triangle.
Oh no. Katarina wants to play the triangle. That makes Katarina very, very mad.
Music Man Stan helps Katarina find a way to calm down.
He tells her what my mom tells me. When you feel so mad that you want to roar,
take a deep breath and count to four. Katarina takes a deep breath and counts to
four in her own special dancing way. Now she feels calm enough to be able to
Katarina and Miss Elena decide to take turns with the triangle.
And we all have fun playing and dancing together. Everybody gets mad sometimes.
It helps me to sing this song. When you feel so mad that you want to roar,
take a deep breath and count to four. Maybe that can help you too.
