Okay, I hope the air conditioning is not too loud, but I am like dying of heat right now,
so it just is what it is.
Today was a long day.
We left Nice at 6 in the morning on the train.
Yesterday we went to Antibes and we spent the whole day in Antibes and it was so, so
pretty.
And it was really unique.
It reminded me of an old town in Tuscany on the hilltop with the walls and the spiraling
street.
We left Nice really early and then we came into Milan, my favorite, favorite city.
And my mom has actually been to Milan with me one time when she dropped me off to study
abroad here.
When she dropped me off, it was freezing cold, like miserably cold, and I didn't know the
city yet.
And so it was a totally different experience, whereas now I'm like, let's go here, here,
here.
These are the cool spots.
This is what we should do.
And so we came into Milan, we got here like 4 p.m.
It's been a really, really long day of training.
You know what?
It's been a really long day of training and that's because the speed trains were like
totally sold out.
And I didn't anticipate that because today's September 8th and I thought it was just not
the busy season anymore, but I was wrong and it is.
So if you're coming in September, I would keep planning way ahead.
I've been here in October and I didn't have to plan ahead at all.
So I would put September in the busy season category, which I guess I didn't really do.
We're staying on the Navigli canals.
If you're ever in Milan, you need to stay or spend a lot of time in Navigli.
Honestly, Milan is one of my favorite cities in Europe for a lot of reasons, but there's
not a ton to see.
There's like the Duomo and the castle, but there's not a lot to see and so people are
like, why would I go there?
But I'm telling you, if you know the right spots to go, it's totally worth it.
So go to Navigli that we just had dinner tonight at Naviglio 48.
I always take everyone I know to this restaurant.
I'll link it below and I'll like show a clip right here of the restaurant, but it's right
off the canal, the main canal by the second bridge down and it is such amazing food.
The owner Davide is a doll and they have like seafood pasta.
They have amazing wine, they have pizzas.
The tiramisu is to die for, so you have to get the tiramisu if you eat there.
The owner recognized me because I've been there so many times and we saw the sunset
down the canal and there were different like kayakers going down, so it was really cool.
And this is really our only true night in Milan, like evening in Milan, so I'm really
happy we did that.
And then tomorrow we kind of last minute decided to go to Lake Como because it's a really easy
day trip from Milan.
So we're going to get up in the morning and go there, honestly probably the whole day.
I think we're going to do Bellagio and Verena, so I'll get that in this vlog and then we'll
come back and go to the Dolomites, which I'm like so pumped for.
I think this is a great trip itinerary.
I wish we had like one extra day in each spot, but you can always wish for more time, I guess.
But we're having the best time and I'm working every night, literally charging my computer
right now.
So we're on our way to Lake Como.
The next bus service will be at 1.30.
Okay, what do you think?
It's fantastic, gorgeous, beautiful, fabulous.
We just finished up in Lake Como and Verena and now we're headed to the Verena train station.
It's really crowded here, like we didn't anticipate the level of crowds.
So we got a train, we're going to catch it at 8.35 back to Milan and then head to the
Dolomites tomorrow, but it is just so beautiful here.
Last year we did Bellagio and Verena and we ferried from Como to Bellagio, ferried
to Verena, and now we're headed out back to Milan by train.
I just want to film the chaos.
Okay, so we're on the Verena train station and we literally don't know if the train is
coming on this platform or this platform.
And you'll see there's like half of the people here and half of the people here because we
literally don't know.
Tell them.
We have no idea what's going on.
If it comes from this direction, it could be either one.
So people are going to run across the train track right in front of the train.
So we're just watching that.
Okay, it just turned green.
So now everyone's coming to our platform.
And we're getting in bed for the night.
