Welcome to this exciting journey of the power of LinkedIn in B2B marketing. In today's lesson,
we are diving into, as I said, the power of LinkedIn in B2B marketing. This comprehensive
guide, this entire particular, this video and the next few videos will explore how LinkedIn
has become an essential tool for B2B marketers, its unique advantages and strategies to
leverage its feature for effective lead generation. Trust me guys, LinkedIn is the place to be.
And I'm sure that you have already been on LinkedIn, but you have been figuring out ways
to leverage LinkedIn and get benefited from it. And that's what we are here for. Let's understand
LinkedIn's role in B2B sales. LinkedIn is the world's largest platform, professional networking
platform, boasting over 774 million users across more than 200 countries. And this data comes
in the year 2021 and I'm sure 2024 data must be a lot higher. Approximately 61 million users
are senior level influencers and 40 million are in decision-making positions. This means the people
you want to reach are likely already on LinkedIn. LinkedIn allows you to directly contact or
connect with individuals, join the conversations they are having and understand their pain points.
So you can connect with them, you can drop a message to them, an email to them, or be a part
of the conversation that they are into, maybe a part of some group that they are in and so on.
Some of the key statistics and demographics. According to a study by the Content Marketing
Institute, 94% of B2B marketers are using LinkedIn to distribute content, making it
the top social media platform for B2B content marketing and it's a lead generation powerhouse.
LinkedIn is responsible for 80% of B2B leads from social media compared to 13% on Twitter
and 7% on Facebook. So I'm talking about B2B leads and not the retail leads that is definitely
higher on Facebook and Instagram or TikTok. So why is LinkedIn essential when it comes to
B2B lead generation? Number one, today's B2B buyers conduct extensive research online before
making a purchase decision and LinkedIn serves as a primary resource for this research. So if
I have to look for somebody, be it a prospective employee, be it a past employee, whoever I want
to look for, the first place that I would look for them would be on LinkedIn and not on Facebook
or Instagram and that's why it is a great place to research. Content consumption is really high
Professionals are eager for insights. LinkedIn users spend time reading industry news, expert
opinions and case studies. Thought leadership. A procurement manager looking for a new supplier
might read your LinkedIn article on supply chain optimization, positioning you as a thought leader
and a potential partner. So building a personal brand, if you are selling a B2B product,
so building a personal brand is easy.
LinkedIn versus the other social platforms for B2B. Professional context. So unlike Facebook
or Instagram, LinkedIn is designed for professional interactions. Users are in the mindset to discuss
making them more receptive to B2B marketing. So it's you who is a different person
when you are on LinkedIn and is a different person when you are on Facebook and you are
still a different person when you are on Instagram or on TikTok and that's what makes LinkedIn
special. You come to LinkedIn with a professional context. You are looking for something that
is professionally attractive. Targeted advertising. LinkedIn's advanced targeting
options allows you to focus on specific industries, company sizes, job titles
and even skills. LinkedIn visitors to lead conversion rate is 2.74% which is almost
three times than Twitter and Facebook. That's huge. Let us start with setting the clear objective
around lead generation. So B2B lead generation on LinkedIn. So we start with defining lead
generation goals. We set specific targets for the number of leads per month, brand awareness
or product promotion. So we set specific targets for each of these. Number of leads, brand awareness
or product promotion. Then we decide whether we are having a qualitative and a quantitative goal.
So consider both the number of leads and the quality. A smaller number of high quality leads
can be more valuable than a large number of low quality leads. So an example goal could be generate
50 qualified leads per month from the technology sector who are interested in cyber security
solutions. So that's a clear objective how you set it. Now aligning LinkedIn strategy with sales
objectives. When you talk about aligning your LinkedIn strategy with the sales objective,
it's very similar to any of the social media platforms. Your strategy, your Facebook strategy,
your Instagram strategy, your YouTube strategy, your podcasting strategy and how does it align
with your sales strategy because we are talking about B2B leads, B2B sales. We have to align
our strategy with our objectives and for this it starts with being consistent. Ensure that
your LinkedIn activities support your overall sales strategy. You collaborate with sales teams,
marketing and sales should work together to identify identifying profiles and messaging
and therefore you create a content calendar that aligns with your sales campaigns.
Now if your sales team is focusing on a new product launch next quarter, start sharing relevant content
now to build interest. So that's how your strategy aligns with your sales objectives.
Moving on to the buyer's journey mapped on LinkedIn. So the buyer's journey is the same
no matter whether you are on LinkedIn or on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, wherever you are.
The buyer journey remains the same. It starts with the awareness stage. Use LinkedIn to share
educational content that highlights common industry challenges. Then comes the consideration stage,
share case studies, webinars and white papers that position your company as a solution provider.
Then you come to the decision stage, offer demos, free trials or consultations to encourage
prospects to take the next step. Now when you have all of this, when you have your buyer journey
mapped, you have your strategies aligned with the sales objectives, you can move on to leveraging
the LinkedIn feature. Let's talk about the LinkedIn features. So we have things like
LinkedIn groups, we have something called LinkedIn articles and we have InMail. So these are the
three different features. You can join and contribute to groups where your target audience
is active. So you need to find out who your target audience is, you need to see where they hang out,
what kind of groups they are active on and then you can join those groups and contribute to those
groups and come in the attention of those group members. Then comes LinkedIn articles. You publish
articles to showcase your expertise and increase your visibility. Then you can send InMails to
people who you are not connected with. You can personalize messages to reach out directly to the
potential leads. LinkedIn has some limitations around how many InMails you can send based on
what LinkedIn subscription, premium subscription you have access to but the features remain the
same. The volume might be up or down but overall LinkedIn groups, you can join articles, you can
post any number of LinkedIn articles. InMails, you can send a certain limited number of InMails
every day, every week, every month. So now that we have covered all of this, let's talk about some
of the success stories. A B2B software company increased its lead generation by 58% after
optimizing their LinkedIn company page and consistently sharing valuable content. A consulting
firm secured contracts worth over $500,000 by utilizing LinkedIn's advanced search to identify
and connect with key decision makers. Now that we are through with this, let's recap
and move on to the next steps. So LinkedIn is a powerful B2B tool,
offering access to a vast network of professionals and decision makers. By understanding its features
and aligning your efforts with clear objectives, you can significantly enhance your lead generation
efforts. And in our next lesson, we'll explore how to craft a high converting
LinkedIn profile that attracts your ideal clients. See you then. Have a great day.
No implementation, no feedback, and no real transformation. That's the problem,
learning in isolation. You may have understood the content, maybe even completed the assignment,
but without a place to share, connect, and get support, growth often stops there.
And here is what most people miss, a space to ask questions,
real feedback on their work, motivation and accountability to take consistent action.
But what if that changed right now? Imagine getting weekly coaching directly from me,
plugging into a private community of people building the same kind of business,
posting your assignments, reviewing others, and getting fresh ideas and feedbacks.
When you do this, you go from learning to leveling up, because momentum thrives.
And here is exactly how to get the most value from your assignments,
from your practices, tasks, discourse, and the community.
One, you join the community portal posted inside our private platform,
for which you will find a link in the resources section or in the description.
Once inside, you will unlock lifetime access to discussion, new templates, behind the scenes,
a hub of learners, creators, freelancers, and entrepreneurs. Momentum to collaboration
and organization. Step two, share your assignment or practice, tasks.
Every time you complete an assignment or practical task, from the first,
share it with the community, post in the assignment showcase code,
with the assignment name and topic, a quick summary of what you learnt or learned,
tools you used such as jupyter, canva, kohler, etc. Any wins, insights, or challenges you faced.
Screenshots or short movie you watched is the best. And tag me, at the rate, coach,
starbucks if you went to my course. Reminder, progress is more important than perfection.
Share what you have done, even if it's messy or a work in progress.
Step three is very important. Review at least two peer submissions. Here is how to give feedback.
Be kind and specific. Use the threes to one rule. Three things you like and one suggestion.
Add a tip or insight from your own experience and celebrate the outcome. This is where
collaboration kicks in. You will learn as much from reviewing as you do from creating.
Step four, you attend the team coaching session. Every week, leave a like for Q&A,
feedback on shared assignments, follow reviews, designs, automation strategies,
AI tools, workflow, and more. Step five, you reflect and you learn. Once you get feedback,
take five minutes to reflect. What inspired you from others' work? Or what's one small upgrade
I can make? Or how will I use this in real-life campaigns often? Learning multiplies when it's
shared and active. You'll find some bonus downloads including assignment post template,
peer review checklist. These will help you coach faster and give better feedback
without overthinking. So, let me leave you with this. Don't keep your work to yourself. Share it,
refine it, and grow with others. This course isn't just videos and content. It's a movement.
And here is your action list. Join the community coaching. Post your assignment,
even if it's just a job post. Review two submissions from your peers. Comment,
share on this video once you've done it. And when you do that,
I'll send you a feedback on my automation system,
tools, swipe files, and templates along with clarity feedback during my coaching.
You don't need to build this alone. Let's go from learning to earning. And I'll see you inside.
Hello, everyone. Before we get started with this course, I would like to say something
about reviews. Just like any other search engine out there like Google or Bing,
Udemy considers a few different criterias when it comes to ranking the courses on platforms.
So, here on Udemy, the single most important criteria to rank as a teacher is reviews.
Reviews are very important for us teachers because they are what help rank our courses higher
in the search results page when students are searching for specific topics.
I also observed that Udemy is a bit different from other platforms in the sense that a ranking
of four star is considered to be a good one if you go on Google or other platforms. But on Udemy,
a ranking of four is considered to be a ranking that's below average. And since you have taken
this course or if you have been able to look at the other courses of mine, most of the courses,
I would say 90% of the courses that I create are free. Now, I've seen that most of the students
go through the course, take the course, but do not submit the reviews. And when you are
not submitting the reviews, you are not helping people like you, students like you, learners like
you to get hold of the courses that I have created. So, to help others find this course
I have created 90% of the free courses. It's important that you submit your reviews.
And like I said, four star is a below average rating on Udemy. Now, there's one more important
thing that I would like to highlight. Udemy asks you to submit a review early on, that is by the
time you take the first or second lesson, Udemy is going to ask you for a review and you might not be
ready to give a review yet. So, I will say, wait, go through the substantial part of the course
and then submit an honest, a genuine review. And if at any point you feel that this course is not
worth a four star, do give me a feedback. Let me know what you did not like before submitting a
review and I will make sure that I make it good for you and for the benefit of others. A negative
review is not going to help any one of us, but a feedback can help you and can help thousands of
others who are going to take this course after you have taken it. So, I'll be waiting for your
reviews. I'll be waiting for your feedbacks. Hello everyone and welcome back to this module on
crafting a high converting LinkedIn profile. So, LinkedIn profile is your sales pitch and it's
important that you just do not create a LinkedIn profile, rather you craft it and that's what we
are going to learn. Once again, it's not just an online resume, it's your digital storefront,
it's your sales pitch, it's your first impression and a powerful tool to attract potential B2B
clients. Let's dive in and transform your profile into a lead generating machine. So, we'll be
talking about all the sections that a profile has in brief and then in the next couple of modules,
we will be taking each of the section and we'll learn how to optimize each one of them. Let's
continue. So, why? The biggest question, why does your LinkedIn profile matters? First impressions
count, it always does. Studies show that it takes only seven seconds for someone to form an impression
of you online. So, that answers, right? Profile photo impact. Profiles with photos receive 21
times more profile views and nine times more connection requests and optimization benefits.
An optimized profile can increase your connection acceptance rate by up to 40%.
Example, imagine visiting a LinkedIn profile with no photo, a vague headline and an empty summary
that does nothing about you. Would you trust or want to do business with that person? Probably
not. Now, let's make sure your profile does not fall into that category and that's what we are
here for. To optimize your profile for visibility, you need to use a high resolution profile picture,
a professional headshot, dress appropriately for your industry. When in doubt, business casual is
a safe bet. Smile to appear friendly and approachable. So, you should not have a face that's,
you know, should be a smiling face. A banner image, utilize the banner space 1400 by 425 pixels to
reinforce your personal brand. Include elements like your company logo, a tagline, a relevant
image, the problem that you solve. Canva offers free LinkedIn banner templates that you can
customize to match your brand identity. Compelling headline. So, you have to go beyond job titles.
We'll talk about this in much more detail in the next couple of sections. So, your headlines
communicate how you add value. For example, what you do, who you help and how you help. That's a
and a basic formula. So, who you, what you do. So, I help. So, you can change the order of this
for sure. So, I help businesses get more leads by doing something. So, helping B2B companies
boost lead generation by 50% through innovative marketing strategies. Incorporate industry-specific
keywords to improve searchability. Yeah. Then you have the summary, you tell your story,
you structure your summary and you have an opening paragraph, a middle paragraph and a
closing paragraph that is the conclusions. For an example, as a seasoned B2B marketing professional
with over a decade of experience, I specialize in crafting strategies that drive revenue growth and
enhance brand visibility. Showcasing your value proposition is the next. Highlighting experience
and achievements. So, your roles, the job roles that you have been into as a company founder,
as a CEO, as a COO, as a CIO, as a CTO, as a manager, whatever your job roles have been,
you need to highlight your experience and your achievements. Quantify your success,
use bullet points, focus on accomplishments rather than just listing responsibilities.
So, for example, increase annual sales by 35%, generating an additional $2 million in revenue
is a good example. Multimedia elements, yes, include presentations, videos, PDFs or links to
your work. That's a great way. Visual content can increase engagement by up to 94%. Pin your
best content to the top of your profile for maximum visibility. When we talk about SEO for
LinkedIn profiles, you need to identify the relevant keywords, think about the terms you target,
tools like Keywords Everywhere or Google Trends can help. Include keywords in your headlines,
summary, job titles and skill sections. So, if you're a digital marketing expert,
include keywords like SEO, content marketing. So, you can use ChatGPG for all of this and we'll
be learning more about this in much more details in the next couple of videos. Enhancing searchability,
achieve all-star profile status, increases visibility. So, you need to make sure that
you complete all profile sections. You can customize your LinkedIn URL. So, LinkedIn.com
slash in, if you're in India, slash your name. Ensure your branding is consistent on LinkedIn
and other social media platforms. So, your handle stays the same across all the social media
platforms. Just in case something is not available, try to find something that is available for all
the social media platforms and use that particular one. LinkedIn profiles with custom URLs are easier
to share and are more likely to appear in Google search results. Skills and endorsements. You can
add up to 50 skills, which did not add 50. Quality is always better than quantity. Prioritize the
most relevant ones. Get endorsements. Reach out to colleagues and clients to endorse your skills.
Endorse others to encourage them to endorse you back. So, we'll be talking about each one of these
in much more detail in the later sections. Statistics. Members with five or more skills
listed receive up to 17 times more profile reviews. That's nice. Recommendations.
Recommendations serve as testimonials, building trust with potential clients. They are important,
very important, I would say. How do you get them? You politely request recommendations
from past clients or colleagues, personalize your request and mention specific projects
and outcomes. For example, hey, I really enjoyed collaborating with you on the XYZ project. Would
you be willing to write a brief recommendation about our work together? It would greatly enhance
my work and you can also offer a recommendation in return and that would highly increase your
probability of getting a response and getting a recommendation. Additional profile sections,
accomplishments, volunteer experiences, interests. Well, you can add all of this.
A fun fact for you here. Over 40% of hiring managers feel volunteering experience equally
as valuable as paid work. So, yeah, you work because you get paid. But what do you do when
you do not get paid? That's what volunteering shows. So, good if you can showcase some of
your volunteering experience. That shows how serious are you about not the job, but about
your life, about yourself. And that's what volunteering experience shows. So, add it if
you have it, but do not fake it. Profile settings and notifications. You can adjust the privacy
settings. Decide what profile changes are broadcast to your network. Turn off notifications.
When making significant edits to avoid spamming your connections, ensure your profile is set to
public so potential clients can view your information. Some of the common mistakes
that you must be avoiding. Unprofessional photo is a strict no, do not. The photos that you use
on Instagram or TikTok or Facebook, do not use those. Use a professional headshot. Neglecting
the summary section, do not leave it blank or underutilized. Add whatever you can. Spelling
and grammar errors are a big no. Make sure there are no spelling or grammar errors. You want to
double check it. You want to use grammarly. You won't use any online tools. Make sure you do that
before you head on the same path. Avoid cliches like Guru, Ninja, Rockstar. Don't. Sounds very
unprofessional. And again, they are good on Instagram and TikTok, but not here on LinkedIn.
Some examples before and after profile optimization. So, Sarah, a marketing consultant,
before she had a generic headline, no summary, few connections. But after optimized headline,
engaging summary, rich media content, her profile views increased by 250%.
Secured five new clients in three months. That's nice. Mike, who was a software sales executive,
he had an outdated photos, past experience, nothing much. He added a professional photo,
detailed achievements, endorsements, got some recommendations. So, his connection requests
doubled and inbound inquiries increased significantly. Some of the action steps that
I have for you here would be audit your current profile as a third party, as a client. Put yourself
in a client's shoes with reviewing your profile. Identify areas that need improvement. Update your
photo and banner. Revamp your headline and summary. Make them engaging and keyword rich.
Add rich media and complete all sections and request recommendations and endorsements.
All of this cumulatively or in total would mean a get you an excellent LinkedIn profile.
Some resources for photo editing. I think you can use Canva for writing assistance.
You can use Grammarly to check spelling and grammar errors. For keyword optimization,
utilizing resume worded for personalized feedback on your LinkedIn profile. So,
a lot of online tools available for SEO keywords or you can simply use Chattopadhyay for the same.
LinkedIn learning, access courses on personal branding and profile optimization. They would
also help you a lot. Analytics. Regularly check who has viewed your profile and your search
appearances. Experiment with different headlines or summaries to see what resonates best with you.
Stay active. Engage with your network by posting updates and commenting on other people's posts.
Engage the way you want to be engaged. The idea of entire LinkedIn profile optimization
and being active and staying connected and getting engagements and receiving
inbound enquiries are that you do all of that yourself first. You start engaging,
you start posting content, you start reaching out to people, you start doing all of that.
This shows that your LinkedIn profile is very active and in return, you start getting what
you give to the world. Some of the takeaways. Your LinkedIn profile is a powerful tool for
B2B lead generation when optimized effectively. Focus areas. Focus on professional visuals,
compelling copy and strategy keywords used. Regularly update and engage to keep your profile
fresh and relevant. That's all for this. Should you have any questions, feel free to ask me in
the section or in the comments below and I'll be happy to help. Do not forget to join our
Facebook community if you have not yet or the LinkedIn groups if you haven't joined yet.
And let the community help you out with whatever questions you have. And I'm always there.
Have a great day. Bye. Let's let's set up our Facebook profile photo.
OK, this is going to be interesting. Let's start with Facebook profile.
Let's search whatever you want to do. Just search it on Canva. Facebook profile pic.
So here are the options and the other templates that you get. You must have seen a lot of people
using these. OK, let's choose any one. So let's say let's say we want to choose.
What would you want to go with? OK, let's choose this one. So this is one of the background image.
And what we do over here is. No, let's do something else, something more interesting,
something more fun. Let's delete this and we import upload something else.
What's that something else? I am. Let me import my pic. Cool. Now that's my pic.
What I do is I select the pic and I see if I have an option to edit the image.
I remove the background since I have a Canva pro. I am able to do this. Cool.
The background is removed. Next, what I do is I come back. I increase. No, I go to an option.
So I have different options or different. I go to shadow. OK, we must have seen a lot of these.
Now, when we have this shadow set up and we customize the shadow, we increase the
transparency to 100. We make the blur zero and change the color to, let's say,
yellow. And then what we do is we increase the size to. OK, now how much ever you want it.
Now, let's change the background to red. OK, you must have seen something like this.
Let's bring it in the center and boom here. Your profile image is ready with that outline effect
that we see for a lot of lot of profiles here. Your profile image with this amazing effect of
that outline thing is done in no time. That's how you build your profile image.
You can similarly do it, do the same for your Instagram or for your LinkedIn. So that's how
you design your Facebook profile image, the profile image actually for any of the social
media platforms that you want to use it on. Facebook profile image is done. We will choose
to do the LinkedIn cover image. Let's quickly check it out. LinkedIn cover. So these are the
LinkedIn cover image options. Good morning, sunshine. Let's check it out. OK, so this is
your LinkedIn cover image with the LinkedIn dimensions that is needed. I will what I'll do
here is I'll change this. We created something over here, right? What did we create? Did we
delete it? OK, so uploads. Let's quickly do this once again over here. So let's quickly edit it
like we did it last. So it would be a good revision for you. We remove the background.
Once again, I'm using a Canva Pro. That is why I'm having an option to remove the background.
Next is I add a glow. I customize it further. I change the transparency to 100 percent. I
decrease the blur to zero. I change the color to red and I increase the size too.
Or maybe I can change the color to white. Let's change it to white. Since I'm wearing white,
it does not look good. OK, let's keep it at yellow. Now I. OK, somehow it didn't work.
Let's do it again. Background remover. Shadow. Glow. Editing the glow. Increasing the size.
Removing the blur and adding a color. Here is my. If I want this or maybe we can add something else.
And I just publish it to LinkedIn or I download it and upload it to LinkedIn if my account is not
connected. Now, this is the way of understanding endorsements. Today, we are diving into how you
can get more LinkedIn endorsements and display them effectively. So endorsement, as the word
suggests, is people endorsing you for the skills that we just updated in our profile.
Endorsements can boost your credibility by showing that others vouch for your skills.
Let's get started on how to maximize, utilize this feature to its maximum.
Endorsements on LinkedIn allows your connections to confirm the skills you have listed on your
profile. This not only enhances your profile strength, but also improves visibility in search
results. First things first, make sure your skills list is up to date. The way we just updated it
includes skills that are relevant to your current goals. Don't just load it up with
everything. Prioritize. To get endorsements now, once you have the skills updated,
you need to start by endorsing others. That's the thumb rule of social media.
What you want to get is how you get is by giving to others. So if you want more endorsements,
you start giving more endorsements. If you want more likes, comments and shares,
you start commenting and liking and sharing other people's posts. So it's a give and take. Often,
when you endorse someone, they will return the favor. Be strategic. Endorse skills for people.
For endorsements, you would value in return. This is important. Now, once you have done this part
of the endorsement, what else can you do? You can send custom requests asking people to send you
endorsements. How do you do that? Using ChatGPT. So if you are comfortable reaching out directly,
you can ask close colleagues for endorsements. Use ChatGPT to draft polite and personalized
message. Let's do it on ChatGPT. So moving to the endorsements section of LinkedIn.
How can I politely ask a former manager, a colleague for a skill endorsement on LinkedIn,
write a draft for the same? So now I have a message from ChatGPT with a subject line and
a body, a small paper that has my professional profile with the manager's name. So when you're
sending an email message, you might not need the subject line at all. And the message maybe could
be a little shorter. This is too big a message to do as a message. So this is good if you're
sending an email, but if you're sending a message, this should be shorter and do not need the subject
line at all. So please make the message shorter. Nobody wants to read such long messages.
Here we have it. Again, a subject, but that's not needed. Hi, I hope you're doing well. I'm
updating my LinkedIn profile and would really appreciate it if you could endorse me for
the particular skill that you want to be endorsed for. The endorsement would mean a lot given our
work together at this company. So that's how endorsement works. Now, when you have sent these
endorsements and you have received a lot of endorsements, your next step would be to manage
and prioritize these endorsements. So what do you do about this? Once you start receiving
endorsements, it's crucial to manage them and then allows you to reorder and prioritize the skills
you want to hide. Now, this is interesting. You said you would need to analyze your profile
skill section and suggest an order based on your career focus. So this, we can do it at any point
of time. Now, what we do is how do we showcase the top endorsements? Meaning, how can we put
the top endorsements in the top and then the order could follow. So highlighting skills that
have the most endorsements that could be on the top or also the skills that are critical to your
current job seeking or career development efforts. So you might not have the most endorsements in the
new skills, but they could be at the top showing that you have these skills and you also have a
number of endorsements, maybe not the most number, but you still have a good number of endorsements.
So this means placing newer, more relevant skills higher up, even if they have
fewer endorsements. Let's see how do we do this. So that's my LinkedIn screen.
And here is the skill. And if you see, it's one endorsement, one endorsement, one endorsement.
Here's the option to reorder. So I can now, based on the skills that I have here on my profile,
I can reorder these endorsements by dragging and dropping. So I can just drag and drop and
prioritize the endorsements that I want to see on the top and the endorsements that I want to see
at the bottom. So you see Website Building has seven endorsements, Performance Marketing has
no endorsement at all, Marketing has one, Business Marketing has one and so on. So that's that about
endorsements. Remember, endorsements enhances your profile's credibility and can influence
hiring decisions or your client's decision to work with you or your brand's people wanting to
work with you or collaborate with you. These things can change the entire gameplay. Keep your
skills updated, engage with your network and use these steps to strategically engage and or enhance
your endorsement section. That's that for the endorsements. See you in the next video. Until
then, have a great and a wonderful day. Bye bye. Let's understand what are the practical tips and
common mistakes people make on LinkedIn. So, hello everyone, Savan here. Time for some pro
avoiding cliches to choosing the right keywords for SEO. These little details can set you apart
from the crowd. I'll also share what not to do, common mistakes. So we have spoken a lot about
what you should be doing. So this time I'll also be speaking about what not to do. Common mistakes
can hold your profile back, like being too vague and using buzzwords without backing them up with
Let's start with the practical tips for a standout LinkedIn profile. Tip number one,
avoid cliches. What is that? Steer clear of cliches like hardworking, team player, motivated,
almost everyone uses them and you do not want to be everyone if you want your LinkedIn profile
to stand out. They really do not say a lot about you. So everyone says that I'm a team player or
I'm motivated or I'm hardworking and so on. You cannot have these words in your profile. Instead,
show how you embody these traits with real world examples. So what makes you or how can you say
that you are hardworking or how can you say that you are a team player or what is it inside you
that makes you motivated? So that's using keywords for SEO. So SEO isn't just for websites. We have
already spoken about this. Your LinkedIn can benefit to include industry specific keywords
naturally in your about section, experience and even in the skills area. This makes you
more discoverable to recruiters searching for talent in your field or business owners looking
for services that you provide or whatever your objective is to be on LinkedIn. Tip number three,
having a professional banner photo and banner. Well, never underestimate the power of a professional
profile photo and a custom banner. So these are the first things someone sees when they land on
the profile and they have to be really, really, really good and aligned with the objective that
you have or you want to achieve on LinkedIn. So a professional photo and a banner that
reflects your industry or your professional essence can make a strong first impression.
Next is common mistakes that you should do and you must be avoiding. Mistake number one,
being too vague. A lot of us, actually I would say most of us are too vague in our LinkedIn profile.
Like saying your experience in management without specifically talking about what exactly are you
an expert in. Instead, specify what kind of management, the scope of your projects,
are the teams you have led, details matter. Overusing buzzwords like we spoke last. So
buzzwords are another pitfall. Words like synergy, wheelhouse or optimize can become
meaningless unless you link them to specific outcome or stories. So do not just use the words
but have a story or a specific outcome or something that stands when you make tall claims.
Whenever you use a buzzword, ask yourself, can I illustrate this with a concrete example?
If yes, use it. If not, ditch it. Neglecting recommendations. Skipping the recommendation
section is a missed opportunity. Recommendations from peers, bosses or clients builds credibility
and trust and that's what LinkedIn is for. So don't be shy. Reach out to colleagues for
recommendations and offers to reciprocate. Remember that your LinkedIn profile is your
profession's tool. It's worth investing the time to make it as impactful as possible. Use these
steps and avoid common mistakes to ensure your profile is not just seen but remembered.
And there you have it. LinkedIn profile that's not just filled out but stands out.
Using chat GPT and we can always keep refining it and keep working on it and that's what the
entire game of machine learning is all about. You keep learning, you keep refining, you keep
updating and then you keep restarting. So that's all about the common pitfalls and mistakes and
the things that you should be doing. See you in the next video and till then have a great day.
Understanding LinkedIn's user agreement. Confidently understand what's allowed
and not allowed and how to grow safely without getting penalized, restricted or banned.
Imagine this. You wake up, open LinkedIn and suddenly you see this message.
Your account has been restricted due to suspicious activity. Panic, confusion and worst of all
zero warning. You think, but I was just sending messages, connecting with prospects, doing business.
But here is the truth. LinkedIn is not just a social network. It's a compliance driven platform
with strict boundaries and the reason most people get in trouble, they have never actually read the
rules they agreed to. A recent survey found that less than five percent of users have reviewed
LinkedIn's user agreement or professional community policies. But every day people get flagged,
banned or shadowed, restricted without knowing why. By understanding exactly what LinkedIn allows
you, you will stay in full compliance, protect your account and reputation, know how to scale
without getting flagged, use automation tools legally and ethically, avoid embarrassing mistakes
like spamming or keyword stuffing. I'll break down LinkedIn rules in plain English. No jargons,
no lawyer talks and will translate the legal text into practical actions you can take.
This is your business reputation on the line. Let's protect it like a pro. So what is the
LinkedIn user agreement? Well, it is the legal document you agree to when you create a LinkedIn
account. It outlines what content is acceptable, what behavior is prohibited, what happens if you
break the rules, how LinkedIn enforces penalties. So think of it like the LinkedIn constitution.
Five major policies you must understand.
No spam or mass messaging. So what the policy says? You may not send unsolicited or unauthorized
What it means? No mass copy-paste DMs, no fake offers, no bait-and-switch tactics. Even using
automation to send 100 plus DMs per day can get flagged. No scrapping or bot activity. So what
the policy says again? You may not use bots or other automated methods to access the services.
What it means? Don't use scrapers to collect user data or email addresses. Avoid shady
browser extensions that extracts lists or sends messages. So what is okay? Use AI like
ChargeBD to write your messages is fine. Using LinkedIn approved CRM integrations like HubSpot
or GHL with official APIs is allowed. So one real account purpose. So what the policy says again?
You may not maintain a false identity or create multiple accounts. What it means? Don't create
burner profiles to spy, spam or send outdates from multiple accounts. Your name, photo and
must reflect you or your authorized brand representation.
Next is respect professional community policies.
LinkedIn has a separate document on behavioral expectations. This includes no hate speech,
harassment or political trolling. No fake reviews or endorsements. No misleading job titles like
unless that's actually how you operate. Avoid inflating your profile to seem bigger than you
are. LinkedIn can take action. Transparency in selling or hiring. Now if you are recruiting,
selling or running outreach campaigns, LinkedIn expects you to be transparent about your intent,
avoid trickery or deception and don't mess it under the pretense of wanting to network if you
are really trying to pitch better. Hey Alex, I socialize in helping HR teams streamline
candidate pre-screening. Hoping to explore if this is relevant. Worst, let's connect and collaborate
then pitching out. That's not the best thing to do. Some of the common mistakes to avoid
using CD-Linked automation tools. Why it's risky? It violates board activity rules.
What to do instead? Official API tools like DHL expand the phantom bus service limits.
Masked messaging 100 plus people per day. Triggers spam filters. Send 20 to 40 quality
messages per day. Fake titles like fortune 500 advisor. Misleading. Be honest. Credibility
needs fluff. Collecting emails from profiles. Data scraping. Ask for permission or use
forms. What happens if you break the rules? Warning or temporary restriction. You may be
asked to verify identity or stop acting. Shadow ban. You are forced to stop getting
reach without explanation. Permanent ban. You lose access entirely. Now the tragedy prompt.
Rewrite this LinkedIn DM to sound personalized, respectful and compliant with LinkedIn's user
or generate a follow-up message that adds value without sounding legacy.
And let AAPI help you stay respectful while still being persuasive.
Try this. Open LinkedIn. Read LinkedIn's professional community policies for 2 minutes.
Write down 3 things you didn't know before. Go through your last 5 messages.
Some of the key takeaways. The user agreement is your license to operate, not just legal stuff.
Be transparent in your messaging. Use tools like Chatterjee or CRM responsibly and with
the human first mindset. If you break the rules, even unintentionally, you will face restrictions.
Read the LinkedIn professional community policy.
Seek your automation tool against LinkedIn rules. Audit your last 5 messages for compliance.
Rewrite your outreach messages using Chatterjee pity for tone check and bookmark the policy
page for future updates. You can look for some resources. LinkedIn user agreement.
Professional community guidelines. AI-powered DM compliance.
Respect LinkedIn's rules not because you have to, but because your brand,
relationships and results depend on it. And when you play the long game, you always win.
Ethical lead generation. Here we will master how to generate leads on LinkedIn in a way that is
authentic, respectful, high-converting and 100% compliant with LinkedIn policies,
turning ethical behavior into a business advantage.
So let's be honest. The term lead generation has earned a bad reputation.
Think about your inbox for a second. How many cold messages have you received
that made you roll your eyes? Hi, we help companies like yours,
10x revenue and 30 days. Let's hop on a quick call.
It feels impersonal, robotic, aggressive and worst of all irrelevant.
And yet so many are new entrepreneurs, sales reps and even marketers fall into this trap.
Because they believe lead generation means mass messaging hundreds of people
using automation to blast cold DMs, jumping straight to the pitch.
But here is the truth. Unethical lead generation does not just fail,
it damages your brand. It gets you ignored, reported, blocked and banned.
Now imagine this instead. You build a trust-first lead generation
system on LinkedIn where people actually thank you for reaching out.
You get warm replies and not coasting. You grow your business while building a
reputation of respect, integrity and value. And yes, this system works even better
than the spammy stuff because real relationships turn into real results.
In this lesson, I'll show you the 5 principles of ethical lead generation
plus message templates that open doors,
tragedy prompts to craft personalized DMs and mistakes to avoid that could cost you your
Let's do lead generation the right way. The way that makes people say yes without hesitation.
The 5 pillars of ethical lead generation.
Intent, transparency. Always be honest about why you are reaching out.
I just wanted to connect. And then pitch right after? No.
I specialize in working with the niche. Would love to explore if this might be helpful for you.
People appreciate clarity. And when you don't hide your intention, they feel respected.
Personalization at scale. Ethical is not equal to manual.
You can still scale, but never copy-paste blindly. You can use chatgpt to personalize
for job title, industry, recent activity and common connection.
A chatgpt prompt could look like.
Write a plain, friendly, respectful LinkedIn DM to a job title at company who recently posted
about X, like a post on Y. I want to start a conversation about topic with no sales pitch.
It was the chatgpt prompt template.
Number 3 is value first mindset. Your first message shouldn't ask, it should offer.
Examples of value you can share, a helpful guide, a resource or a tip,
a unique insight or a question.
I just published a 3-step LinkedIn checklist that helped my clients increase profile views
by 40%. Would you like me to send it? No pressure, no link drop, just value.
Respectful frequency is number 4. Don't be that person who follows up every day.
Instead, space out your messages. Give breathing room.
Follow-up rhythm could look like. Message 1, friendly intro.
Day 3, value add. Day 7, reconnect.
Day 14, light check-in or permission to close the link.
You are not chasing, you are inviting.
Number 5 is permission-based selling. Always, always ask before video pitch.
Would it be okay if I shared something I think might help your team process a goal?
This flips the power dynamics. They are inviting your pitch instead of
dodging it. Psychologically, people are more likely to say a yes when they are in control.
Some of the ethical messaging templates might look like.
Message 1, warm intro plus context. Hi, the name.
Notice your work at company. Really like your post on the topic.
I often connect with titles in this space to share ideas.
Happy to connect. Message 2 might look like.
Value add without ask. Thanks for connecting.
I recently created a one-page checklist or a guide that might be useful for the problem they face.
Would you like me to send it? Message 3, permission to touch.
Glad you found it helpful. If it ever makes sense to work through
a couple of ideas that have worked well for others in your role, let me know.
Happy to share. Notice the difference.
It builds trust before transaction.
Some of the common pitfalls that you need to avoid.
Unethical approaches. Fake compliments.
Ethical alternative. Real engagement based on post.
Unethical approach. Hard pitch upfront. Ethical alternative.
Invite conversation first. Unethical approach.
Mass DMs with automation. Ethical alternative.
Unethical approach. Misleading intent.
Ethical alternative. Honest messaging upfront.
No opt-out. High frequency.
Again, the ethical alternative would be permission based.
Okay, now here we have to pause and do an interactive exercise with me.
Open LinkedIn and pick three new prospects you want to connect.
Write a warm intro using something specific from their profile.
Offer something helpful. Not a link yet.
Ask would it be okay if blah blah blah. Post one of your messages in our private
community to review and feedback. Okay, so the key takeaways here are
ethical lead generation is equal to long-term growth plus brand trust.
Be clear, be kind, be valuable.
Use ChatGPT to help you scale without losing your friendly touch.
Always ask permission before pitching. Focus on conversations and not conversions.
Quick wins checklist.
Draft a three-message ethical lead generation sequence.
Create a ChatGPT prompt for each type of message.
Rewrite your outreach with value-first language. Set up a rhythm 3-7-14 day follow-up schedule.
Review LinkedIn's user agreement and community policies.
So, the final thought here is anyone can send 100 messages.
Few can build 100 real relationships. Be the few.
Lead with integrity and follow up with empathy. And you will build a pipeline that's not just full
but trusted, respected and ready to convert. I'll see you in the next one.
