Hey guys, welcome to another video. Today I'm going to show you how to make an origami fidget spinner.
This is a relatively easy model to make. You can make it spin a little with your hands,
and by blowing it, it spins for longer. To make this model you're going to need a square piece
of paper. In this video I'll start with 15 by 15 centimeters, about 6 by 6 inches. As the first
step we need to fold the paper in half along both diagonals, creating an X. So let's bring
one corner to the other, marking the first diagonal, unfold it, and fold the opposite
diagonal. Once done, we'll need to bring the corners to the center. We can fold the top right
corner first, and then repeat the same with the other three. With the marks made, we unfold
everything, and turn the paper over. Now let's fold it in half vertically. Just bring one side
to the other, make a crease, and unfold. The paper is now divided into two. For the next step we'll
divide it into four. So we start by bringing the right side to the center, then the left side as
well, and unfold. Now we need to repeat the same step horizontally. So again, we start by folding
it in half, then fold the bottom and top sides to the middle. Unfold this step as well. To make
the next step easier, let's close the four corners, like this. Now we can bring the four sides to the
center, closing the paper like this. Leave one flap in each direction, and we have our base.
Just reinforce it a bit, keeping everything aligned, nice and straight. For the next step, let's turn it over,
rotate the paper in this position, and fold this little square at the top. Just bring the paper
to the middle, like this. Reinforce it well, and unfold. Now repeat the same step with the other three.
Once done, let's fold only the right corner, unfold, and pay close attention to the next step.
We're going to lower this right corner, the one we just folded, and close this side, using the
existing line here. The middle of the paper is now a triangle. On the other side, we have this
remaining layer. We need to open it, using the marks we've already made, like this. And now we have
the same triangle on the other side. We have some extra paper here. You could glue it, but it's not
necessary. We can just fold the paper, like this, creating a diagonal, locking this part in place.
This is the result. Now repeat the same step with the other two, and we already have our spinner.
As the last step, we need to fold the corner here, making it straight with the edge of the triangle,
unfold, and using these new marks, let's open this part, and now we have a kind of a petal
that makes spinning easier, when blowing on it. Let's do the same with the other two,
and our Origami Fidget Spinner is ready! Now just hold it on top and bottom,
and blow on the side. I hope you enjoyed it, if so, remember to give me a thumbs up.
Thank you so much for watching, see you in the next video!
