In this video, our family prepares traditional five-color sticky rice for the “San Yue San” festival in Guangxi, southern China.

The beautiful colors come from natural plants and flowers, whose juices are used to dye the rice before steaming it over firewood. Our child also joined in the cooking process, making this traditional meal together as a family.

This video captures village cooking, traditional festival food, peaceful countryside life, and warm family moments in rural Guangxi.

Through our videos, we hope to share the food culture and daily life of the Zhuang people, one of the oldest ethnic groups in China.
