Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe creator tests the Antigravity A1 360-degree drone through three \"impossible\" challenges: tracking a car, chasing a paper airplane, and filming a martial artist. The video highlights the drone's intuitive controls, the flexibility of 360-degree post-production, and the emotional, immersive experience of flight that transcends mere technical specifications.
I am about to attempt three impossible drone shots.
Well, impossible until today,
because we now have this 360 degrees drone
by Antigravity, codename A1.
And each of these challenging shots
will progressively get harder and riskier.
So we'll start with this car crossing
the bridge tracking shot.
Now it's going to be challenging
because this is my first time flying this.
And also the sun's about to set.
So I got about maybe 25 minutes tops
to get the whole thing done.
So let's see if we can do this.
All right Han, I need like five minutes to set up
and then we'll let you know when you can drive, okay?
All right, here we go.
I don't want slow-mo, I want standard video,
auto, frame 8K, 24 frames, got it.
Okay.
I can kind of see, oh, you know what it is?
Shoot, I need to land.
I just pressed the home button.
I don't know if it's going to work.
Yeah, it's supposed to land where it came from.
All right, it's coming down.
I see it, I see it.
Oh wow, it's like landing on the pad.
It's coming down.
Oh, you want our backup?
Yeah, I still have the brand new sticker on the...
Oh wow, that's pretty accurate.
That's too perfect?
Oh my God, I still, oh, look at this sticker.
What a noob.
The lens sticker's still on there.
Okay, now we're ready to fly.
I don't want to litter, put it in my pocket.
All right, let's fly.
Yeah!
Now, if I want to go up.
Whoa!
I'm getting position.
Where are you?
I see your car, okay.
And go.
Yep.
Did I just get it in one shot?
Ah!
All right, lift off, lift off, lift off.
Holy cow.
Oh my goodness, I see the sunset.
Oh wow.
This is easy to control.
All right, coming home.
Oh yeah, this is happening.
So my son asked me this morning,
what's so impossible about a drone chasing a car
that's going under a speed limit,
which is about 35 miles per hour on this one.
Well, he has not seen this edited 360 degrees footage yet.
In fact, I'm going to show this footage to him
after I shoot the second impossible drone shot
because I don't even know if I can pull this off, guys.
It's much more riskier and it's much more challenging,
which involves this,
which is a very simple model airplane
I used to build as a kid made out of paper and some wood.
Let me know in the comments below
if you guys recognize this,
but I grew up in Korea until I was 13 years old.
And at school, this is the thing we used to build.
Now, my sister got me this several years ago.
It's been in the basement for a while.
So now I finally have a reason to open it
and actually build it.
And as a child, I remember this being pretty easy,
but I'm looking at this now and I'm kind of intimidated.
Let's see, okay.
You get everything in one piece,
so you cannot screw this up.
And the challenge also is that
I only have about two hours right now
before I have to pick up my son from school.
They have early dismissal this week
and oh my goodness, this paper is so thin.
Oh, this is scary.
Okay, I cannot screw this up building it,
first of all, and second of all,
if I hit this with the drone, even just a little bit,
this will be so shredded.
I mean, this thing is thinner
than the toilet paper I used this morning.
And I know it's built for kids,
but they don't mess around.
What, this is the instruction?
Oh, this instruction looks mad.
Oh, what the heck?
It's kind of in Korean.
So man, what else we got in here?
Oh, it does bring back memories.
Oh, I remember these pieces.
Well, I better get to it.
Oh my goodness, what time is it?
Okay, I gotta pick up my kid by two o'clock-ish.
It's close, it's close.
Okay, all right, what time is it?
1.51.
Yes.
I made it, guys.
All right, there's one more thing I gotta do to this plane,
but it's so wet and gluey right now.
I can't do this right now.
So when I get to the side, I'll do the final touches,
but yeah.
Okay, go pick up my kid.
Here's a secret I learned when I was a kid.
All right, maybe that's too wet.
I mean, the sun's gonna do the job.
All right, you ready?
Oh yeah.
All right, so we figured this part out today
so I can see what I'm seeing.
Oh, look at this.
It's so much easier.
Up we go.
All right.
All right, let me get some bearing though.
All right, here it comes.
All right, and go.
I don't know why the drone stopped.
All right, drone coming back.
It was good, but my drone like stopped
in the middle of nowhere.
I think the safety feature maybe kicked in.
Oh dang, look at that.
That's right on the pad.
Okay, let's try that again.
All right, this might be the last one
because the sun is almost down, but you did good.
Like I wanna like actually chase it, you know?
Obstacle avoidance behavior, off.
All right, let's do one last time before the sun sets.
All right, so the challenge is that we're losing time
trying to rewind this every time.
All right, let's send it.
Three, two, one, go.
Get out.
Get the heck out.
Oh shoot, I forgot to hit record.
What the heck?
No freaking way.
I forgot to hit record.
There's a record sign here right now.
It's actually the screen.
Oh gosh.
Okay, I think I have battery for one more.
Come on.
Oh gosh.
I'm so sorry.
That was so good.
I know.
I can't believe it.
That was probably the best.
That was so good.
All right, one more time.
Last one.
I had a great experience with this drone.
So far, yeah?
Even though I haven't flew it.
Even though I forgot to hit record?
It's amazing.
It's amazing?
Yeah. I'm glad.
All right, I'm gonna get this one.
I gotta get this one.
You have to.
Oh gosh.
Left hand there.
Okay, get in the same position, okay?
All right, let's do this.
I'm gonna hit record.
All right, here we go.
All right, now it's recording.
Three, two, one, go.
Yes.
Okay, I got something.
I think I'm gonna call it a day, dude.
Like that.
All right, we have arrived to the third
and the final challenge.
And that involves this really cool location
because they're letting us film inside.
And two, one of my friend who does martial arts.
And I'm gonna put all the edited footage
towards the end of the video
because my son ended up watching the video.
I was editing it and he saw it over my shoulders.
So that's gonna be towards the end.
And I'm also gonna explain
how this was such a simple process to edit.
But first, let's go inside and check this place out.
All right, guys, I wanna introduce you to Sam.
Sam's a friend of mine.
He's a professional martial artist.
And you would describe yourself as how?
I am a Taekwondo master by the Kukkiwon.
So he knows what he's doing.
So we're at the gym.
We're allowed to film here.
And we're gonna put some safety gear on you
to make sure everything is safe.
And we also got some safety gears from Anti-Gravity.
Check this out.
First safety gear we're playing with is the prop guards.
All right, this drum just became significantly larger,
but this is probably much safer.
All right, Sam, second safety gear.
This is for you.
It might look kind of dorky,
but try it out, see if it works.
Choose the one you like.
All right, let me see, Sam.
I look like a wannabe nightwing.
All right, you think you're gonna look like a dork?
Check this out.
All right, now shoot at 60 frames per second.
Let's do one where I'm not going under you first.
So I'm gonna leave all the risky stuff towards the end.
So if you kick it, like, ah, it's fine, it's the last shot.
All right, let me go ahead
and turn off obstacle avoidance real quick.
So that's the lowest I can go without covering the sensors.
Too high?
Let's do one that is above you.
Let me hit record.
So I'll just go straight.
Next to you, and then you do your thing.
And go.
That's good.
I think the timing was...
Yeah, so I can look around and see everything.
All right, practice round,
but do it as if there's a drone going.
And three, two, one, go.
Yep.
I would've gotten it.
I mean, that's my hand.
I have full control of my hand.
All right, ready?
I don't even know why I'm making the sound effect.
Just give you a full effect, you know?
Three, two, one, go.
Yeah.
Whatever gives you the most up,
and then what you're comfortable with.
Try not to have your face towards the X
when you do the flip.
I do have prop guards.
So...
So it should bounce off your face.
Yeah, I'm so glad I have the prop guards.
Without the prop guards, I will not do this.
You will be wearing, like,
remember that full sci-fi suit?
You'd be wearing that.
Run it already?
Okay.
I don't need practice, Sam.
Remember, I have a drone license.
All right, I'll do one practice.
How was I?
Was I close?
That little X is too small for me to see it.
So I can see the light.
So I'm aiming towards the light.
When I see you go here,
I'm gonna start sending it.
Three, two, one, go.
No, I was too late.
No, you're great.
You're doing great.
But I need, like, a running start, too.
Two, one, I'm going.
And go for it.
Oh!
Tell me that was good.
Did I record?
I recorded!
Huh?
I flipped over and then I saw it right in front of me.
I was like, oh, shoot.
Oh, you didn't land?
We'll pretend you landed.
I'll just look away.
Are you okay, though?
Oh, it cuts my ankle a little bit.
No, no, no.
If you can't do it again, don't do it again.
I don't know yet.
So that's where I have to draw the line.
Now, I know if I ask Sam to really do this
and he'll push himself and actually do it for us.
He's done plenty of stunts in his life.
I mean, freaking A.
Like, he was Spider-Man at one point.
But this is where I stop being a YouTuber
and just be a good friend.
I mean, he's about to celebrate
his 40th birthday right there.
I'm not gonna make him have a sore ankle
going into his birthday week.
Besides, at this point, I thought,
I have enough footage about this drone
where I can show you what this drone can do,
but especially what this 360 footage
is capable of when you edit them.
So the moment you've been waiting for is finally here,
but make sure you watch to the end of the video
because I'm gonna tell you something
that you should definitely know about this drone.
So before I show you these final footage,
I feel like I need to define
what impossible drone shots are.
So technically, there are drones
who can pull this move off,
an expensive drone, that is.
And it usually requires two people
because you need to be able to turn the camera
as it's flying exactly the path you intend it to
and look at the subject.
So at a standard, regular consumer level drone,
these are considered impossible drone shots.
So keep that in mind.
So here is the edited 360 degrees drone footage,
which is different than what you saw earlier
because literally during post,
I could point to anywhere I want and edit them out.
Wanna see it?
Here it is.
All right, so briefly, I gotta show you the software
that was behind that edit.
So this is the Insta360 technically,
but anti-gravity's first studio software for desktop.
So this is what I use.
You can literally just point to anywhere you want,
make a key frame,
move it to a different section of the video,
make another key frame and look anywhere you want.
But what's really magical and impressive
is that I cannot see the actual props from the drone
anywhere in the shot.
That is some mad stitching.
So this isn't gonna be a full review,
but I'll tell you what I love about this drone
and what I didn't like about this drone,
aka limitation you should be aware of.
What I absolutely love about this drone
is the fact that this is the most intuitive,
easiest drone I've ever flown.
I mean, you guys saw it.
It's almost as if the drone is reading my brain.
You literally point to where you wanna go
and the trigger and you just fly there.
It's really hard to describe,
but you saw the footage, very intuitive.
Now, there are a lot of safety features
built into the drone that makes that possible
and the experience really smooth.
But without going into every single little detail,
I just wanted to say that this is so intuitive
and easy to fly.
Now, what I don't like about this drone,
and this is all about setting your expectation correctly,
this is a 360 degrees 8K footage.
So when you put it on your screen
and actually zoom in or crop,
it's gonna be much less than that.
So yes, this drone does have slow-mo built into it.
However, when you do slow-mo, it's no longer 8K,
like as you saw on the screen.
I also have to crank up the shutter a little bit
to match that motion blur.
And what you're gonna get
is just a really hiked up ISO.
And obviously this isn't a 10 bit footage.
So on a low light condition,
especially when you try to bring the shadow up a little bit,
it's gonna seem what some people might call it
as kind of mushy.
So from a professional videographer perspective,
you do need to like make sure
you set your expectation correctly.
But in terms of like social media, Instagram,
and just for travel vlogs, I mean, this is perfectly fine.
So here's a little plot twist.
This video wasn't about the most cinematic, epic drone shot.
Although if you take this to some epic location,
I'm sure we'll get you that.
But that's not my life right now in the season I'm in.
I shared on my Instagram recently,
we have to rethink drone footage when this drone comes out.
And I mean that.
This drone isn't just about the actual footage.
It was rather the experience
and immersiveness this drone brings.
I never experienced something like this.
The last time I can think of this feeling
was exactly in that moment back in elementary school
when I built that model airplane
and just rewind that rubber band
and threw it in the air.
And as that plane left my fingertips,
the joy and the excitement and adventurousness of it,
that's what this drone reminded me of.
When I handed over my vision goggle
and the control to my son,
and as I saw his face just light up
as if he's just flying out there like a bird.
And I think anti-gravity was going with that theme
where they built the screen in front of the goggle
so the person next to you can see the actual flight too.
So to me, the actual memory and the experience
of flying this was a big part of it
more than the footage itself.
We already have a 10-bit footage
with 6K resolution drone out there.
Well, for most people out there.
I don't know about you guys anymore.
So we'll see where the future goes,
but I haven't even scratched the surface
about the technology that went into this tiny little drone.
So I do hope that I can make some more detailed video
about this drone.
But if you have any questions,
meanwhile, let me know in the comments below.
I'll answer all questions
within three days of video uploading.
After that, I kind of move on to the next video.
And thank you, Sam, for hanging out with me
for a couple hours right before your birthday
to really get this content going.
Hope your ankle's feeling better.
If you guys wanna check out his channel,
he teaches amazing Taekwondo content.
Check that out.
I'll also leave a link to this drone down below.
I have no idea how much this drone costs right now.
So I really hope this is somewhat
affordable consumer-level drone.
So check that out, guys.
Thank you so much for watching to the end.
Hope to see you in the next video.
