A Quiet House With a Massive Secret Behind It
This house is called The Hidden House, but it does not really disappear.
Designed by Aslam Sham Architects in Kozhikode, India, the house uses sloping green planes, massive stone walls, concrete volumes, glass openings, and a traditional tiled roof to hide part of its real scale.
From the street, it appears lower, more contained, and partially absorbed by the landscape, but as the site drops, the house reveals its full three-story structure.
Inside, the spaces are organized in layers. Public areas stay closer to the street. Family spaces gather around a koi pond filled with natural light. Private rooms, a home theater, and the pool sit deeper and lower in the site.
It is not a house that disappears. It is a house that controls what it reveals.
