Video Summary
AI GeneratedActor Benedict Cumberbatch was filmed in a heated verbal altercation with another cyclist outside King's Cross station in London. The dispute allegedly began after Cumberbatch ran a red light, leading to a confrontation characterized by sarcastic exchanges and accusations of law-breaking before the actor quickly pivoted back to his charming public persona for waiting fans.
Bit of a fun one for you today guys, and a very British celebrity caught in the moment moment.
So we have Benedict Cumberbatch, those of you will know him from, well lots of his famous acting
roles, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Strange etc, and here he is having a heated verbal argument with
another cyclist outside King's Cross station in London. Now the back story to this is apparently
that Benedict Cumberbatch ran a red light on his bicycle and the cyclist who you can see shouting
at him wearing a mask caught him at it, allegedly verbally abused him, and then they got into an
argument. Here it is, hold on to your hats, it's seethingly brilliant.
I am listening to everything you're saying, you're deluded, you're lying, I was behind you
the entire time. You verbally abused me, I tried to stop you. Oh no, I verbally abused the guy, you completely repeatedly broke the law.
I did it once, I don't need to do it again. No I did not.
Of course I was being sarcastic, it's very quintessentially British in my view,
with Benedict Cumberbatch looking a bit like a private school teacher going,
Now calm down young man. All um, all very, well I mean, I mean the guy with the mask, to be fair,
he's a bit more angry, and he must know who Benedict Cumberbatch is, but doesn't seem to
bother him, he still wants to read him the riot act, as it were. Now this happened apparently like
on Tuesday, so it's quite a few days ago, and the guy who filmed it said that it went on for about
10 minutes, so we have an exchange that could have been 10 minutes of gloriously British video,
but all we've got is 37 seconds. And by the way, the video you saw there is actually 10 seconds longer
than the video doing the round on social media, so you get a bit more for your money when you come to
my YouTube channel and spend no money, and yeah, there you go. But what I also find interesting
about this is apparently, after this heated altercation, he then posed with fans, and then
the guy who filmed it said yeah, then he charmed everyone, he posed with some young kids who were
apparently watching the argument going, is that Doctor Strange? I mean, you can't make it up, can
you? I love the way he went from heated argument to, hello fans, how are you? Do you want to take
a selfie with me? It must have been quite an extraordinary, weird experience. And I will
finally say that, listen, when you drive in London like I do, one of my big problems is cyclists going
through red lights. And I have to say, when you're approaching a junction, and there's traffic lights,
and suddenly a cyclist just goes straight past you, not expecting it, it is quite infuriating. So
Benedict and all your other cyclists, you really should stay behind the red lights. And if you
don't want to stop at a red light, get off your bike and just walk on the pavement and cross the
road like everyone else, and then get back on your bike the other side, because going through red
lights is not only really shocking for drivers, but so dangerous for cyclists. I just think you cannot
trust drivers in London. I would never go for a red light on a bike in case another driver who
wasn't paying attention, and whose light was green the other way, hit me. So I just think it's worth
remembering that, even though if he hadn't done this, we wouldn't have got that brilliant video.
So there you go. Happy Sunday, everyone.
