Taylor revealed on the podcast that she wrote the album during the Eras tour, which ended in December, a few weeks before Baldoni filed this $400 million countersuit, It was something that I was working on while I was in Europe on the Eras tour. I'd have three days off, I'd fly to Sweden, go back to the tour, and actually, like, working on this. In Baldoni's lawsuit, which has since been dismissed by a judge, Baldoni alleged that Blake used Taylor's influence to pressure him to accept Blake's rewrites of the movie. Back in May, Justin's legal team even tried to subpoena Taylor, which they later dropped. During that time, Taylor's rep claimed the subpoena was, instead of focusing on the facts of the case. A rep added Taylor's only connection to It Ends With Us was giving her permission to use her song, My Tears Ricochet.
