Video Summary
AI GeneratedThe creator visits the Appen motocross track with friends, riding a CRF250. After a long hiatus from this specific track, he focuses on practicing and capturing entertaining footage. A significant portion of the video is dedicated to a technical breakdown of the camera gear and settings used to achieve high-quality motovlog visuals.
Today we're out at Appen doing some motocross, swapping out from my last video on the road
racetrack with my R6. I've also met up with some friends to ride with for the day,
Jai he's also on a CRF250 and Trent on his YZ450F. Today Bell Bird is open, the racetrack
here at Appen, and I haven't ridden this track in years so I'm excited to check it out.
Motos and leaving the best moments in to make it as entertaining as possible. It'll be pretty
boring if I just leave the uncut raw moto in, definitely not fast enough for that yet.
Track is really nice, it's all groomed. I'm gonna go check out the racetrack now.
I haven't ridden this track for like 10-12 years, something like that when I used to race,
185. Gotta take it easy, definitely no energy race day at all.
If you're wondering what camera I'm shooting on and the settings to achieve this footage,
I'm shooting on the Insta360 Ace Pro 2, mounted to the chin of my helmet with a specially designed
chin mount from Chinmount. You can use code JESSE10 to save 10% on an order for a chin mount.
As for the settings, I'm shooting 4K 60fps with a shutter speed of 1 over 120,
and I'm also using an ND filter, specifically ND16 for this shot. HDR is enabled. Stabilization
is set to low. Color profile is set to flat. ISO is set to 400 max. White balance is set to auto.
Sharpness is on low or medium, whichever one you prefer. The FOV, this is very important,
is set to the widest FOV option, which is action wide. The audio is coming straight
out of the Ace Pro 2 itself. It has a built-in wind guard, which picks up beautiful audio. You
can hear the engine perfectly and no wind noise at all, basically. And then, of course, I color
grade my footage with my LUTs, which you can find linked in the description, as well as,
if you're interested in the Ace Pro 2, you can find that linked in the description as well.
I
don't know where the boys are at. They must still be out there, or they've jumped over
there. I'm not sure. That ride is still down. That must have been pretty bad.
All good, mate.
You got some okay whips on that step up up there.
That was sick. I got a few good shots behind you on some of these jumps.
How do you like the track? Have you been on that track tonight?
Yeah, just session out on the handlebar. Hopefully, get some follow shots of Trent,
but I'm pretty sure it's going to get smashed. So, luckily, the lenses on the X5 are now
replaceable. If anything happens, we'll just be able to replace the lens.
Did not before on the old 360 cameras, but knowing that.
I thought that was you. I yelled at him.
So, for the settings on the X5, it's very simple. I basically shoot in complete auto. I have
sharpness set to medium. The color profile is standard, and everything else is set to auto.
Auto shutter speed, auto ISO, auto white balance, everything is auto. Since there's no ND filters
for 360 cameras, you can't really set manual settings anyway. So, all the magic happens
later in post when you can reframe your 360 footage and also track subjects like I'm doing
here with Trent. For off-road motocross riding, I opt to shoot in 5.7K, 60 frames a second,
so I can slow the footage down if I need to. I need to come out more. The more I come out,
with friends especially, and just be consistent in practice and get better. This track,
I really, really like this track. Yeah, it's just a little motocross motovlog.
I'm not the fastest on the track or anything, but I try to make it as entertaining as possible.
Yeah.
That was sick. I think I got some good clips of you.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Oh, it's still recording. Hey guys, here's the 360 please. I'll make really good videos, I promise.
