It is my favorite day of the week.
It is forever Friday and before I
introduce you to this sweetheart,
I want to say thank you to all the
rescues who showed up last Friday
and all the people who showed up
who wanted to adopt and bring a pet home.
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
Also, I want to introduce
you to this sweet girl.
She is 10 months old.
Her name is Donkey and Donkey
has quite the story to tell.
My friend Katie with the Animal
Protection Center Southeast
Mass is here and Katie.
Tell us about the story.
Donkey and deuce the first time
we have a cat on the show.
And the reason we did it is because
Nicole is helping me because I'm
alerting so tell us why we have
this bonded pair here today.
Yeah, so Donkey and deuce came in
about two weeks ago.
Their owners were unfortunately homeless.
It was actually a very sad story.
They they really love these these animals.
They asked if there's any possible
way we could adopt them out together.
Obviously doing a cat and a
dog is kind of tough.
It's tough, but we said, you know,
we'll try so we had them available together.
But what really didn't hit to us was
the actual connection that they had.
So we put them in a room together
and mostly for Donkey deuce was
just the normal cat like whatever.
OK, cool donkey just lit up.
She was a different.
She was a different dog.
Look at that's your that's your brother.
Is that so having them together?
It just made him so much happier.
Oh my God, look at that.
He is jumping the cat.
Yeah, the cat's like, OK, cool.
Another dog in my face, but Donkey.
She was so shut down and so scared
the shelter the minute that we
introduced her brother to her again.
It was a mini reunion and let me
tell you it was so ridiculous.
I mean that she is just a different dog.
We really so we really are trying
to adopt them out together.
Deuce this big boy up here.
He is really, really chill.
He obviously can deal with this crazy lady.
She's so she just hangs out on the couch.
You were saying I mean she or he can
pretty much just do anything you want.
Yeah, oh yeah, he's I mean he's awesome.
Yeah, he's a really, really chill dude.
He loves people.
He definitely could go home with
like another you know cat or another dog,
but really the bond between these
two is is unbreakable right now.
You guys should keep guys.
When I heard this story I was like
Nicole said you have to bring them in.
I mean the fact that he was like
she was depressed almost and then
he comes in and he she just lights up.
I mean he I've seen I have cats by the way.
And it's very rare to have a chill cat.
This is a very chill cat.
It's very rare and they they really do.
They really, really do love each other.
So that's kind of our main goal,
which thank you Ray for letting me bring a cat on.
Like you better bring him on.
So we want to tell you she is 10 months old.
Yeah, yep.
Is she potty trained?
She's potty trained.
She does well in the car.
She does.
She just the drive here.
She was great.
She was laying down sleeping.
She does great in the car.
He is good with really anything and everything.
He doesn't really care.
He's like, give me a hug.
I know, right?
And he's four years old, right?
Four years old.
And just so you know,
for people who are not used to cats,
like he's just playing right now.
He's just playing.
He's like put me down.
And now she's gonna, she's gonna lick his toes.
Honestly, if you want to put him down,
I guess you can't.
Yeah, I mean, how sweet is that?
Okay, Missy.
This is how they play.
That's so cute.
Okay, so who wants the instant family
for Memorial Day weekend?
Cause you got it right here.
Also, Katie, I wanted to tell people about the event.
Paws in the Park.
Oh my God.
We have some information for you to put on screen.
Paws in the Park was amazing.
One of our dogs that we brought there, Pepper,
did end up getting adopted.
No, I meant for the next week.
I'm sorry, next week.
Oh my gosh, I'm going everywhere.
Yes, no, Paws in the Park.
That is Saturday, May 30th.
It's gonna be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
I'm getting my things mixed up.
I know, it's a lot, it's a lot.
We're gonna be there with dogs.
We're gonna be there with vendors, food trucks, music.
Sprout is actually gonna be there.
Sprout, we remember Sprout.
So she'll be there for a couple of hours
to say hi to people.
We'll have merch.
It's gonna be an overall really, really fun time.
Rain or shine, we will be there.
So please come and join us.
We would love to see everybody and you can bring your dogs.
Perfect.
And speaking of bringing your dogs,
let's bring Donkey and Deuce home.
Let's get them adopted in New England.
Together, please.
That'd be amazing.
Please, adopt these, rescue.
Let's save their lives.
