AI GeneratedA student documents their stressful experience preparing for accounting and finance exams. The narrative follows their struggle with procrastination, study routines at coffee shops, the use of AI study tools, and the exhaustion of pulling late-night study sessions with a friend before facing their final tests.
I actually need to start studying now.
Really fast. Freaking nap.
Hi everyone and welcome back to my channel.
Today is Sunday. It's 4.21pm.
I've wasted this like entire day away doing just like random things
like cleaning my bedsheets, doing my laundry and like dishes and stuff.
And what I really need to be doing right now is studying
because I've got an exam tomorrow at 8 freaking AM
which is so early. It's for my accounting class.
For some reason I'm just like not feeling the stress kick in
which is really probably like not a good sign.
I also have an exam on Tuesday for my finance class.
It's from 7 to 9.
Definitely feeling a little bit more stressed for that one
because I think finance is probably the hardest class that I'm taking this semester.
So yeah, I'm a little bit stressed.
That is what's going on for these next three days.
I need to stop talking because I actually need to start studying now.
And I think I'm gonna go to a coffee shop first
because I just can't focus in my apartment right now.
I made it to the car.
I'm like out of breath.
Oh my God.
But I'm going to this coffee shop called Merit.
They close in like two to three hours.
So am I really gonna get a lot of work done?
Probably not.
But they have this fire matcha that has like strawberry cheesecake cold foam
and it's amazing.
And so I just need it and I'm craving it.
They don't have any more eggs left.
I'm back home.
And I forget that coffee shops like close earlier on Sundays.
And so I was there for maybe like only an hour and a half before they closed at six.
But I still got a lot of work done, which is good.
And then I just went to pick up some groceries next door.
I ended up getting some raspberries and then also got this new coconut called.
This one's their original flavor.
I've never had this one.
So hopefully it's good.
And then I also picked up Greek yogurt.
This one's by Strauss.
They didn't have the brand that I usually buy.
And I'm really hoping that this is good because she was kind of expensive.
There's like two more sets of notes that I really want to get through.
And then I'm going to take a practice exam just to see like where I'm at.
And hopefully I do well on it.
So what is mine?
Louie, what are you doing?
Time for a study break.
I'm going to eat dinner because I'm so hungry.
Okay, first I'm going to finish this Chipotle bowl, which literally has like three bites left.
I bought this yesterday.
I'm just like so happy when I have leftovers because I feel like it always tastes better the next day.
I don't know.
Okay.
And then I'm also going to microwave some of this pasta.
This pasta is like solidified.
Hey guys, I am actually feeling better for the exam.
I just went through like all the practice problems.
And honestly, they're like not too bad.
But I also don't want to be overly optimistic because you also just like never know what's going to be on the exam.
I'm going to brush up on like conceptual questions and then take the practice exam.
And hopefully it's also not too bad.
I just finished my notes and I did like a trial test print earlier.
So I'm going to go ahead and go downstairs and print out all of my notes, which right now equals to 20 pages.
Hopefully it works.
Hi guys, I just woke up.
Well, I didn't just wake up.
I like woke up and then got ready and stuff.
But I ended up skipping my 930am class to take a really fat freaking nap.
And honestly, that was much needed.
But my accounting exam actually wasn't that bad.
Like I thought it was easier than practice exam.
And if I'm being completely honest, I think I studied like more than I should have for it because my finance exam is tomorrow.
And that one I'm like actually really nervous about.
But I also think my cheat sheet really helped.
So there's also that.
So yeah, honestly, I'm like feeling pretty good about it.
Anyway, though, I do have my marketing class coming up and I do want to get some work done before I go to that.
So the way that I'm studying for finance is I'm going through like the lecture notes and then doing the practice problems.
But I feel like I'm at the point in studying where it's not really like learning the concepts.
It's more like can you apply your knowledge to application based questions?
And that's definitely something that I struggle the most with in like honestly any subject.
But let me show you guys the app that I have been using and loving to do just that.
It's called Goth and they're the number one app in education.
And it's completely free on the App Store, which is amazing.
It's accurate and it serves as the all in one study hub to help students prepare for their exams.
It works for all different types of subjects.
So math, science, biology, literature, etc.
But obviously I'll be using it for finance.
And so, yeah, let me show you guys how I've been using it to my advantage.
Just scan my lecture notes.
But I know you can also paste in a YouTube link, import from a website or upload a recording.
Here I'm just uploading a few pictures from my lecture slides over efficient markets and arbitrage.
And then I'll generate flashcards and practice problems,
which are, in my opinion, the most useful tool in testing my knowledge.
And I'll also give you a summary if you wanted like the content to be explained to you in different wording.
It also pulls from what you give it.
And so everything's very like aligned and relevant with your course.
Yeah, this has just been such a game changer for me, especially during exam season.
You can check out Goth completely free of cost in the description box below.
Yeah, I'm going to spend like the next half an hour-ish doing practice problems
and then we'll go to my marketing class.
Hello.
Hey guys.
We all just presented our group projects for a man and mine was the best.
Bro got clocked.
Not once, but twice.
No, but they were asking stupid questions.
Like out of all the ones that went, the only one that the professor said good work for was us.
That's so not true.
It's true.
We just finished presenting.
And it does look like a towel.
Our professor said, Maggie, is this a towel?
I'm never wearing this again.
Hello, everyone.
I'm actually in the car.
As you can tell, I'm picking up my friend, Chelsea.
We're going to go to this boba spot to study.
And I've never actually been to this location, but she says their drinks are good.
Also, guys, the last time I drove Chelsea, which was like a week ago,
I popped both of my tires and it was actually really bad.
Hello.
Oh, my tires.
Thank you so much.
I was literally just talking about the tire popping story.
But now we got four new brand new tires on the car.
We got the coconut matcha.
We got the hojicha ice cream.
Cheers.
I like that.
Now we can go lock in.
I'm home.
I'm eating this Greek yogurt that I bought yesterday.
It was really productive, but I didn't get a lot of stuff done, if that makes sense.
The material is just taking me so long to get through.
And I definitely just underestimated that.
But yeah, anyway, I'm going to go ahead and meet up with her.
And we're going to be studying for like the next...
I don't even know how many hours.
She says she's going to pull an all-nighter.
And I just don't know if I have it in me to do that right now.
And peanut butter too.
Do we study?
Yeah, fine. We'll study.
It's 2.56 a.m.
Look at this one.
We're both taking our practice exams.
I'm on question 12 and there's like 40 MCQ and like 16 short answers.
I'm on question 0.
It's 4.36 a.m.
We're finally going home.
It feels like I haven't studied.
What?
I feel like I haven't learned anything.
I'm going home. It's so cold.
My cat is super clingy and mean, so he's just going to be chilling here.
But I'm going to set an alarm for 11 a.m. tomorrow.
So that gives me a solid 6 hours of sleep.
And I shall see you guys tomorrow.
I'm on over to Prisha's apartment again.
The biggest thing that I need to do right now is put on my cheat sheet.
But I'm still working on that.
On our way to our finance exam.
How are we feeling?
Oh my god.
I don't see anything in my life past today.
You look so scared.
I'm scared.
