The $300 Golf Driver Dilemma
Is the new Stix Compete Driver actually worth buying… or are you still better off buying a used premium driver instead? In this video, I test and the Stix Compete Driver on the driving range and launch monitor to see how it compares against one of the best used driver options in golf: the Ping G430 Max. At around $300, the Stix Golf driver sits in a really interesting spot. It’s a brand new direct-to-consumer golf driver with modern looks, solid stock specs, and a much lower price than most new drivers from TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, and Cobra. But for the same money, you could also buy a used Ping G430 Max — one of the most forgiving drivers ever made.
So which is actually the smarter buy?
