Hey, Sid. Hey, how's it going? Yeah, it's Emi. Yeah, um, I just sent you an email to you and Emi
just to
give you my two weeks notice, and I just wanted to give you a phone call personally.
I know.
Yeah.
15. So in two weeks, yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I just want to like
personally thank you and all that. I mean, you guys have been really awesome for the past two and a half years.
So I just wanted to give you a phone call. Just, you know, I didn't want to do that just by email.
But yeah, like I said, I emailed
you and Emi just to
give you my two weeks notice, like property kind of, you know, but yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I'm sure we're probably gonna see each other like
before I go and all that.
Yeah.
Yeah, so yeah, the last day will be Monday the 15th and all that.
Yeah.
Yeah, I would like, yeah.
All right. Yeah, talk to you. All right. Okay. Yeah. Bye.
Kitty! I just gave my two weeks notice.
Oh, I was stressed a little bit. I don't like to do this thing.
Kitty!
Only two weeks of work left.
This is happening. This is happening, guys.
Oh my god.
I can't believe this is happening.
It's been...
It's been two and a half years that I'm dreaming about that day.
Finally, two more weeks and we're gonna be on the road, traveling full-time.
Oh my god.
I was nervous though. I don't like to do those things. I mean, now that it's over, it's good.
Yeah, traveling full-time. Oh my god, I'm so excited.
You have no idea, guys. I've been working so hard to be able to put money on the side,
to be able to travel,
be on the road full-time. Finally, it is happening.
And by the way, for all the people who think it's because I'm rich from YouTube,
I've put money on the side for the past year and a half.
For a full year, if you know my story, I was stepping in a car to purchase this van and after that,
for a year and a half now, I've been
putting money on the side. It was hard because I hurt my back, so I had to reduce my hours at work and all that.
But
it's happening now. I've been looking at my bank account and
I
think we should be good. If I do travel slow and I don't get too crazy, it's gonna be hard at the beginning,
I know that.
But yeah,
so...
So, yeah,
I'll be on the road full-time.
I'm so happy, guys. You have no idea.
I'm so glad that it's done, that I talked to him.
I sent him my boss
email just to do it properly and I called him
just because I wanted to, you know.
I don't like to just do things on email and I don't see them. I work by myself,
so I could not have done that in person.
So, yeah.
So,
the plan, I have a feeling that a lot of people are gonna ask me my plan. My plan? I don't have any plan, guys.
No, I do have... I can assume like a plan, I guess.
So,
right now, it's winter, so
we're gonna stay in Vancouver. We're gonna go on Vancouver Island's Sunshine Coast.
I guess, I almost want to show you on the map. It would be great to show you exactly what's the plan for
this winter and
next summer. So, yeah, I'm gonna go on Vancouver Island's Sunshine Coast, that area
until for the next month, maybe. Something around that. After that, I'm gonna come back in Squamish.
I do have a couple of things to do.
I don't think me and Joseph are gonna be done with the electrical.
It's getting cold and I don't want him to
rush and do all of this, you know.
Bring the wire outside and underneath my van or whatever you need to do when it's gonna be cold. So, I
talked to him and I'm like, probably gonna do that when I'm gonna come back in the month.
Finish, at least, that part. So, it's gonna be warmer that time. It's probably not gonna rain so much, too, either, because it's been raining.
Forecast to rain for the next week or so.
So, yeah, come back in Squamish. I do have my mailbox and all those things here.
So, I have to come back anyway.
And after that,
I'm not 100% sure. After that, I
wanted to go in Quebec for the maple syrup time,
which is the end of March, beginning April.
Because my father do have a maple syrup shack, if you want, call it this way.
And I would love to bring you over there and, you know, do the
real Canadian thing and go in Skidoo and do all those fun things. I love going there at that time.
That's my favorite time to go in Quebec.
But right now, Quebec City, especially, are very, like, locked down and it's pretty crazy for the COVID and all that.
So, my parents still want me to come.
Obviously, it's been, like, almost two years that I didn't see them. So, you know, they want me to come and all that.
But at the same time, I don't really want to go if I'm not gonna be able to see all my friends and, you know,
not doing anything.
So, I'm kind of waiting to see. Hopefully, things gonna get better, but
it doesn't seem like it, to be honest with you.
Yeah, so,
maybe we're gonna go in Quebec. I'm not sure. At one point next year, this year, I should say, we're gonna go in Quebec.
Because, yeah, it's been two years and, you know, I kind of want to go see my parents and my friends, you know.
But I don't know when. So,
maybe in the middle of the summer, which I don't like that much to go at that time.
But yeah, so I'm not gonna drive there, by the way.
It's way too big of a drive and with the whole pandemic and all that, I don't want to travel across Canada right now.
We're gonna stay in British Columbia this summer, travel slowly, do back road and all my
fun stuff that I want to do and not stopping too much on every town. Just, you know,
grab
our grocery and gas that we need and that's it. That's my plan for this summer.
You know, when you've been like working so hard for something, you're like, oh, you just can't seem to
get to the point, you know, to finally see, look at your bank account constantly like, oh, and you, you know,
try to save and save, save, save money and you, it's hard. It's hard when you have only one income. It's hard
when you're not like, you're doing like a big
expensive job, you know, I'm making a little bit above a minimum wage as a janitor. So, it's hard.
It's hard to put money aside, even if you live in the van.
If I was not living in the van, my guys, I probably would have to have two jobs here in town, especially in town because it is
expensive to live here.
Food a little bit more expensive, gas and all that and especially rent. It's just crazy here.
So, I will definitely have to have like at least, like right now, I'm just a little bit lower than the, like the
I'm like 37 hours a week or something on that.
So, and I used to have like more hours when I didn't have the cat
or when I was sleeping in my car, I was like
I think at 45 hours a week and I was just accepting every hours and everything, you know, like someone was sick.
I'm like, okay, I'm there.
But yeah, in the past year and a half, it's been a little bit more. I had to do it for my health. I had a problem
with my shoulder and my back. So, I had to reduce my hours, but
yeah, it's happening.
And yeah, I'm so exciting. I have no idea. So, yeah, we should be on the road together, guys.
We should be on the road for the next
the next six months until the end of the summer. That's the plan.
So, I guess what we could do
is to
drive to get some Wi-Fi and I'm gonna try to go on Google Map and
show you on the map, maybe, where my plan which, you know, they're probably gonna change. That's me.
But what my plans are for the next month and the next six months
and yeah, we'll see
we'll see that on the map. That'll be great to
check that out with you. So, yeah, we're gonna go up Wi-Fi and show you that.
Kitty, are you excited? We are free now in two weeks.
Oh, yay!
You don't look very excited.
We're gonna be a new place all the time.
No more squirmish. Bye-bye.
Are you excited?
She's not very happy because it's raining today. So,
that's a problem. So, yeah, let's go see Wi-Fi and show you on the map where we're going.
All right, I think I got it. So, record this.
There we go.
So, we are currently in squirmish just right here
and
let me pop this out a little bit give you an idea where we are.
So, Vancouver
is right here. So, we are at 45 minutes around from Vancouver.
And the plan,
two options right now that I'm not quite sure which one I'm gonna use.
One of them is to go on the Sunshine Coast. So, the Sunshine Coast is right here. So, we do have to take a boat,
a ferry and we have to visit all those places. Got a lot of like back roads and all this.
So, I'm probably gonna spend maybe a week there.
That would be great. I do have a subscriber which I don't remember her name.
She lives there and she gave me a couple places to go watch. So,
yeah, maybe we're gonna go there. That would be one good option.
And the other option is to go on Vancouver Island which I want to go.
I want to especially like visit
Tofino right here guys.
It's been
I think 12,
15,
14 years maybe that I'm on the west coast here and everyone's like what you didn't like visit Tofino.
You have to go, you have to go, you have to go.
And I really want to go. So, it is hard though to do van life apparently there. So, we're probably going to have
to have a campground
around that area for
the time we're going to be there. But it's a really small town anyway.
So, we're probably going to spend a day or two there anyway.
And that road apparently is gorgeous. So, I really want to do this one.
And another thing that I might try is the back road here. Seems to be quite interesting.
The only thing right now for the back road, I have to be careful for the snow and the mud.
So, my van is not the greatest
for those two things. So, I have to be careful for that.
But I don't think they do have any snow in this area. That's why we are going on Vancouver Island.
So, we're going to spend one month in
this area here
in the Sunshine Coast and come back in Squamish.
Because, yeah, I don't think
we're going to be done yet. And I do have my mailbox here and things I'm going to have to do here.
So, in March, we're going to come back here for I don't know how long.
But we're going to come back for a week or two. Depends what we need to do.
And as soon as the road and the snow stop,
we are going to go see one of my friends in Kamloops. I really want to see her. It's been
I think two years. Well, last time I saw her, it was when I picked up Kelly.
So, Kelly is born right here in Tappan. That's where I was living before.
So,
yeah, that's where I rescued her. That's where
her life started, at least here.
And when I had to pick her up because my ex-boyfriend could not take care of her who was in Kamloops here.
So, I met with my friend at that time.
So, I really want to go see her again.
And this summer, all right, this summer we're going to play in British Columbia,
border of Alberta. So,
that's our playground for the summer. I want to travel slow because if I
drive too much, we're not going to have a budget for traveling the whole summer. So, I have to be careful for that.
One place that I do want to visit,
I'm not 100% sure if I'm going to go, but I would love to go in Terrace Prince Rupert.
Don't ask me why. It's been in my mind. It's been something that I kind of like want to go
there.
So, that's one option.
And I might, if you follow my friend
Chrome from Vansity Van Life, he did that big, like he's got a road here.
You're not going to be able to see it, but he's got a road right here that goes all around here.
I kind of want to do it, but at the same time, I'm not sure because, sorry, because
it's a long drive.
Not so many towns and all that. So, I'm not 100% sure if I want to go this way this summer, but
might be an option.
And the other option would be to go back a little bit more south. I do have a bunch of friends, one in Nelson,
Kamloops, like I said, and all that in Banff.
So, I visited those
places
a while ago,
but I really, if I go back there, I'm going to make my, take my time 100% sure and
try to do a lot of back road because I love going to backcountry especially.
So,
that's the option and I just love Banff, Jasper. It is
gorgeous there. So,
yeah, those are all my options. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure for this summer.
At one point, we're gonna fly.
Hold on. We are right here, around here.
We're gonna fly
right around here, not in Montreal, but in Quebec City.
That's where I'm born and raised. For those of you who don't know where my crazy French accent comes from,
it is from right here, Quebec City.
And,
especially, hold on,
right around here, my parents live.
So, a little bit, like maybe 20 minutes from Quebec City, the whole town.
And yeah, I want to go visit them. But like I said, I'm not quite sure when that's gonna happen.
Somehow,
this year,
my cat's gonna have to
go maybe at one of my friend's house or find a place at the cat boarding place.
She's been, I think, twice at the cat boarding place.
Not 100%, like it's not the best, but it's an option.
So, yeah, we're gonna, at one point, fly here and in the next several years, or I should not say several years, but
maybe next year
in 2022,
we might cross Canada together and spend a bunch of time in Quebec City.
That would be one of my big dreams. To be honest, I live on the west coast around here in Alberta
for the past 14 years,
around that time, and I never crossed Canada. I never did that road and always
go see my parents only for two weeks every year.
So, I would love to spend more time, like a full month, and go visit all the way to
Newfoundland and all those places. That would be awesome!
Because I'd never,
even if I'm born and raised on the east coast, I never really visited those places, which is crazy.
So, yeah, that's all my plan, guys.
So,
I will leave you with this today.
So, yeah, we do have
a ton of things to do, though. For the next two weeks, I have to take care of a bunch of stuff,
make sure 100% that the van is ready. Even if we just leave for a month,
I still want to make sure everything is ready. I've already done, like, maintenance and all that.
We still have to go do a couple, like, the oil change and just, yeah, make 100% sure that the van is ready for us.
And I still have a storage to have to take care of that, too.
So, a lot of projects for the next two weeks.
But I'm super excited!
All right, guys, I'm gonna leave you with this and have a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful day.
And come chat with me in the comment section below because, you know, guys, I love to chat with you.
And if you're not already, subscribe, guys, because we're gonna travel for the next six months.
And that's good. I think it's gonna be awesome. So, yeah, I will see you soon, guys.
You need to put the music on, kitty.
Have a party.
Let's have a party, kitty.
Let's have a party.
Party.
Maybe I should close my curtain when I do party because people see me dancing like this.
Party, guys!
You know that on the edit, I'm gonna put you music for that, but right now I don't have any music.
So, maybe I should put some party music because those days we cannot go party anyway.
So, I'm gonna party in the van and put music on.
All right.
