Good morning my travel tribe. It is about six o'clock in the morning. I am awake, but still sleeping
Bird the birds always wake me up in mornings like this underneath my bike. That's my setup there
Everybody wanted to know where do we find free places to camp well?
I did it last night woke up in the morning in Texas ended up in Memphis said you know what I'm gonna
Do it an old-school fashion. I'm gonna find myself a place to sleep for free share it with y'all on today's vlog
There's my setup. It's just a poncho liner tied off of my bike stake to the ground a mat a sleeping bag underneath it
Keeps that dew off your head rains. You're still gonna get wet big time
There's been some talk online about which way to tie off your bike always
Tie off the high side of your bike that way any rain dew moisture
Flows away from you if your kickstand sinks in the dirt
Which is much more likely than your bike blowing over the other way it ain't falling on top of you
It'll fall away from you the only time you got to worry about that bike coming this way is if you're not on level ground
So this morning my first goal is gonna be to pack this up second goal is gonna be to go get some coffee last night
We were at one of the coolest bike night
I have honestly ever seen we've seen one bigger that was in Fort Myers, Florida Cape Coral, Florida
So have a glimpse of what that bike night was like for us
Okay, we just arrived here in Memphis on what I believe they call
Beale Street my pronouncing that right Beale Street place is happening, man. This is what bike nights
are supposed to be like
So look at this got Harley over here little road warrior how many miles Harley's got out of 20,000. Oh, that's riding man
Yeah, all right Harley
Memphis bike now you got it going on
Okay, so you saw the bike night, but how did I find this place to camp for free well
It's pretty simple one our churches typically. They'll let you stay there for free. No problem to
National Forest lands that'll work pretty good. If you're anywhere near National Forest lands three is
Rest areas things like that for talk to your biker community, man. I have some my friends in Memphis
They told me about this park called Shelby Park
And I was able to find some land around behind it and this is this is where we parked for the night
It was 100% free it cost me not a single dollar and allows you to keep moving on down the road
So those are my tips on places you can go look for free places to camp, but it's really just this
Now
Some would ask why not just use a tent for one as you set up a tent
We'll look at it as camping police officers Rangers is gonna take it much more seriously
When you got just a bivy off the side of your bike they see that you're just resting for a couple hours
Maybe you're moving on at least it's easier to tell them there to less noticeable. It's not a big bright most tents are bright
This is very dark at night when it's lined up on my bike here very difficult to see me and again
I just look like I'm floating
I don't look like I'm setting up camp biggest reason of all is if I'm leaving every day
I only use this if I'm leaving the next day if I'm staying multiple days
I got a place I camp I do set up a tent
But when I'm on the road, and I'm leaving every day
This is the best system for me and the last reason probably the most important reason of all is
This doesn't have to go in a stuff sack doesn't have to go in a bag that do I showed you earlier?
Sits in a bag unless you take the time to lay that out in the Sun
It's gonna create mold inside that bag this a stuff right there in the wind is gonna dry that guy before lunchtime
All right now that we're all packed up. Let's go find some coffee
Circle cake you you watch the bike yes
All that for no coffee all right take two I guess we're gonna go with the house
And scooter, and I both need something to snack on him
Almond the cheddar that'll be good, and I'll be able to give him his medicine in that cheddar cheese. I'm good coffee
In the banana few days into the medication, but he's already just killing it. I think he's gonna be just fine. Thank God for that
So I know what you all are thinking
Showers, what do you do about showers?
Well when you sleep on the road like that the easiest way 20 bucks a month you get yourself a planet fitness membership
You got a place to work out you got showers and no matter where I am in the country
I am always within 30 minutes of a planet fitness. They're everywhere like 900 locations
So I'm gonna go in get a little workout and get a shower and just like that you're showered
We are clean. We got a workout in we're feeling fresh ready to rock the day and
It only cost me my planet fitness membership, which is 20 bucks a month save one hotel room, and I paid for three months
Worth of showers, so it's a good little trick something
I definitely recommend if you're gonna be doing any long-distance traveling even for one trip. It's worth paying for a whole year's membership
Okay, we just arrived here at
Bumpus of Memphis we got the staff in the house
And we are going to get some service done on my bike because it needs an oil change
I haven't had one since before we went to Sturgis
So I'm trusting my steed in the hands of the very capable
Bumpus crew so another
Neat little travel trip when you're trying to get laundry done on the road a lot of times when I'm lucky enough some dealerships happen
To have washer and dryer right in the service department and that my friend
Is how we get the laundry done?
I think this washing machine needs a sticker where to put this sticker
So this is a constant reminder to you guys at Bumpus that I thank you for letting me use this washing machine
Appreciate it guys I
Do love the green the incredible Hulk motorcycle. I guess we'll call it. It looks good. You know how you got it, huh?
Okay, we are at Bumpus and we are about to dyno tune my bike
Which is really cool because if you've seen my last videos I've done air intake. I've done torque cam
I've done bigger throttle body. I've done slip on I've had it flash tuned with the tuner
But there's difference it makes from just getting your bike flash tuned to dyno tuned
I'm gonna find out today, and I'm interested to see what that girl can put up
Okay, so what we got is when I came in I was at ninety two point five horsepower and now I'm
ninety four point eight seven
Almost
95 I mean so close. I might just call it 95 on the street
Over here. We've got came in at a hundred and five foot-pounds of torque and we broke a hundred and ten foot-pounds of torque
We are now at a hundred and eleven foot-pounds of torque that is absolutely insane when coming auto tuned to a dyno tuner
That's what you're looking at for difference, which is gonna be a noticeable difference on a bike like that
No doubt and that is gonna be it for today's vlog, thank you so much for tuning in
