Zhao Wei's Name Erased from New Film! Xi Hits Hard, Entire Jiang Zemin Faction Collapsed!

On April 30, a photo set the internet ablaze. It was taken at the 30th reunion of the Beijing Film Academy’s Class of ’96 acting program. Chen Kun, Huang Xiaoming, and many other major stars were there. But the person who drew the most attention was the woman sitting beside the homeroom teacher, with striking bright red hair — Zhao Wei.
It was perhaps the first time since Zhao Wei was effectively blacklisted across China’s internet in August 2021 that she had appeared publicly in such a “normal” way.
Just one month before the photo went viral, Beijing’s Dongcheng District Court issued a ruling freezing 90% of the shares Zhao Wei held in Wuhu Dongrunfa Investment Company — worth 9 million yuan — until 2029. Before that, she already had 18.5 million yuan in shares frozen by the courts. She was even subjected to court enforcement over debts of just a few thousand yuan.
In March 2026, Zhao Wei’s film No Other Love (蜂蜜的针) was released, but the director’s credit had been replaced with someone else’s name. A woman once ranked by Forbes among China’s richest actresses, once hailed as the “female Warren Buffett,” had fallen this far.
