Although hair clippers have become ubiquitous in all barbershops and salons the world over, there is still a romantic edge to traditional scissor cuts. We would never seek to do away with their electricity powered cousins, but we think shears deserve their day in the sun this summer. Here are seven of our favorite tasteful trims. Just as how you would need different tools for different occasions, you also need different pairs of professional hairdressing scissors depending on the type of haircut. Not all hairdressing tools are the same. They are designed with different materials and features to help you achieve the desired hairstyle with professional results every single time. Let’s check out the different types of scissors that we offer for popular haircutting techniques!
THINNING AND TEXTURISING
As a hairdresser, you will probably encounter a lot of clients with thick and coarse hair that request to thin and texturise their hair. Using your normal tool to cut voluminous hair is a no-go. You’ll need professional hairdressing thinners that are specifically designed for texturising.
Thinner scissors usually have teeth or notches on one side, while the other side is a smooth blade. Using thinners ensure that there is less damage for the hair compared to using razors to thin out the hair. We offer a wide range of thinning and texturizing scissors which are designed to give you a clean and precise haircut every time thanks to the premium grade steel.
Yeah.
Like, hers is just beautiful.
I would draw that simple for yours.
Yeah?
And I can get this.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Sure.
I'll just pick them up.
Want to keep your other side?
Yeah.
Quick.
Perfect.
Awesome.
Yeah, it was like, tis the flash.
Yeah, tis the flash.
And I don't even have a good memory.
Your face here, do you like it, Tyler?
A little bit.
Which one are you?
Probably.
Um, yeah, if you have like a, like a homemade or whatever.
What are you using?
What's that say?
It's math, not training.
Math, not training?
I don't have a problem with that.
You have a-
Hey, is you-
Huh?
Last second?
Yeah, just a regular haircut for him.
Hey, uh, if you guys ever get the chance, bust us a Google or whatever.
Absolutely.
That would help us out tremendously.
Hey, what up, dude?
Come on in.
What up, dude?
I swear, TJ keeps cleaning me out on this.
We'll see you in that one.
It's gonna change, alright?
Oh my God, I love him.
Probably, no more.
I'm gonna take care of it.
I'm gonna put you in checkmate.
Tricea's the dispensary next door, so that's where we met.
If y'all smoke, come on by, I'll roll you a check.
Nice to meet you.
Good job with that, too.
We owe you.
Thank you very, very much.
Thank you.
Well, I'm glad to have you guys here.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Hopefully we can catch y'all alive before you go.
Yeah.
I got you.
Dude, you guys smoke?
Yeah.
Sick.
Why don't you stop on by real quick?
See, I know that.
I know.
Yo, Multitude.
Jeremiah.
It's nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you, Cliff.
Yeah.
So you guys brought in some of our stuff a while back, which was like the food push.
Oh my God.
And the feather carts.
Oh, yeah.
So we're expanding on those.
Do you want to see the new stuff we've got now?
Yeah.
Okay, sick.
See, this is why I like coming to TJ.
Yeah, keep it on pause.
Take them and flash them over there.
And then we'll go on live when we're playing chess and I'll shout him out and be like,
hey, come on down to TJ's.
He'll give you a good cut.
He never does it wrong because he does it.
Yeah.
No, this is one of the best cuts I've ever had.
Exactly.
I appreciate that.
It's nice to meet you, Jeremiah.
It's a pleasure to meet you.
It's a pleasure to meet you, Mark.
Take him over there real quick and let him see.
All right, brother, watch.
Jeremiah's going to take you.
Go through the front.
Okay.
And go through there.
It don't matter.
He's going to let you in.
Okay, so he goes through there.
But you have really good hair, so it's not hard to make you look good.
And hopefully I'll roll you a jack or you can come in here.
Wait.
You guys are both 21, right?
Are you 21?
No.
Oh, ----.
Okay.
Just to say so you don't get it.
Sorry about that.
Jesus Christ.
How old are you?
I'm 19.
Okay.
I'm still super young.
Oh, yeah.
And what did you drive up here?
Yeah, I just drove up here.
But, I mean, from Las Cruces?
Yeah.
Oh, sick.
By yourself?
Yeah.
That's pretty cool.
Is it a super kind of undercut?
Or are you tapering it?
Yeah, I'm going to taper it.
It's going to be kind of an undercut, but just so it's clean on the sides.
But then it's going to swift into having his hair shorter.
No, not like that.
It could be like that.
He has hair.
He has hair that he can do that all day long.
But he's got watch.
You'll see it.
This will be a whole.
And see, you have another client even coming in right now.
Yeah.
It's like over here, too.
It's like the people we meet are super cool.
That's another awesome part of it.
Like, anytime this guy, the flasher, anytime he's around, he comes in.
He's been coming here for a few years already.
Since we've, like, you know, since way back in the day.
Because what's it been for you?
About almost a couple years, huh?
Since COVID and everything?
Since you've been back to the hospital?
Oh, yeah.
Taking COVID.
What did you ever end up getting COVID or anything?
Thankfully, no.
Unless I had it, but then getting the symptoms of it.
Yeah.
Because I know a couple of people who, as a positive, but they didn't even know that they were in a remotely sick.
So, for me, I have no idea.
But, thankfully, no symptoms or anything like that.
No symptoms.
Awesome.
See, look at his hair.
You know what I mean?
He's able to accept a sick.
But, see how he can rock your cut, too.
Yeah.
Like, you know, just based on it's, you know, he has a good, good hair.
I mean, he's the kind of guy that doesn't really need to get a haircut quite often.
Just because he has such good hair that it can grow out.
Bald ************ like me, I got to get a haircut every week.
I was like, sure.
It just starts to get horrible.
See, and I created a little pattern just back here, just so it dips.
And then, I'll clean all that up with the shears as I clean that one.
Just so it adds that flex to it as I style it.
Because I could have straight went in, but it would have been longer.
I'm like, nah, I wanted to have this one a tiny bit edgier with classiness.
Yeah.
Now, you kind of see a little bit of it.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Because before, it's like, you'll see.
Watch.
It's almost hard to visualize.
Because I'm just knocking this because I'm going to do something with it.
But this is very good point cutting.
What makes it really good point cutting at the end of the day?
Look, I can go side to side and do it that way, which is average point cutting.
Or I could really pick the hair up, have my shears, and just hit it with one side of the shear.
And that's when you say that's superior point cutting.
It takes longer to reach the destination, but it genuinely gives those different lengths.
And when you style it, that's ******* monumental.
Jeez.
I know, we need to.
I don't get it, too.
It's like she always wants to talk or whatever.
It's like, girl, I never talked to you.
Jesus Christ.
Like, you've never heard me once, huh?
It's like, damn, girl, ******* secret service.
My God.
See, now I'm almost cross-cutting in the sense of how I'm adding a pattern to the way I'm even texturing now.
Like, I'm coming around and I'm having it.
That also will achieve a whole different.
And then notch, you know, notching where I'm just coming in and taking big notches out towards the back.
And then coming in again and more point cutting and a tiny bit of notching, I guess.
That's what it is.
And then I can see where his hair is.
And add this slight variegation.
Like, it's a lot to be short like that, but it's got to almost be like it's still coming in.
Just to give it that bridge where it doesn't even matter.
You like it?
Yeah, I can do that.
And what do you think of the back?
Yeah, I can easily take a little bit more of it.
It'll even look better if I do watch from the top.
Because we did take up a lot, so I wouldn't, you know, just in case that's what I was like.
Yeah, no, for sure, for sure.
And so when are you heading back to Houston?
This Sunday.
So I'll stay here super long.
I wish I could.
And so what are you guys going to do?
And then watch.
Even if you wanted a tiny bit shorter, I can.
But I'm going to show you with this length.
And then, yeah, exactly.
Because it's nothing to go down.
And I'll pop some more ---- in there.
We'll watch.
But it'll be about that long.
Oh yeah, that's way better.
All right, let me.
Do you like it like that?
Let me put the clay in it.
Watch.
Just so you can make impression back up to where it is.
Do you like it this length or do you want it shorter?
Yeah, I'm liking this length.
Yeah, me too.
Let me make sure that I have everything put perfectly on there.
See, that's why I like the clay.
That's instant ******* texture.
Like it rips the texture out of the hair.
That way it looks.
All right, let's see.
This should be done like this.
Oh yeah, that's so good.
What do you think of it now?
Yeah, this is a really good length right here.
Sick, I loved it.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
You did a great job.
Sick, brother.
How are you?
