The world’s most fabulous crossing guard is in Jersey

She’s 82 & FABULOUS and she’s the most stylish crossing guard you’ve ever seen. Paulette Dorflaufer from Livingston, N.J. went viral for her elegant outfits including fur coats, decorative hats and reflective vest.

But behind Paulette Dorflaufer's vibrant style is a remarkable life story. Paulette was born in Nazi-occupied France during WWII. She survived the Holocaust as a baby in a hospital while her family was taken to concentration camps, eventually being adopted by an American family at age 4. Her signature fur coats honor a cherished memory from the orphanage that gave her a white rabbit-fur coat when she was adopted. The 82-year-old now spreads joy at what she calls her "happy corner," where generations of students and parents have been touched by her sunny disposition and fabulous style.
