New Jersey’s frontline heroes battling wildfires to save life and property

Every year New Jersey is exposed to around 1,500 wildfires that damage or destroy more than 7,000 acres of land. Tasked with battling these dangerous and damaging blazes are the brave people at the New Jersey Forest Fire Service who run towards danger in order to help save life and property. They oversee 3.15 million acres of both private and public land statewide, including the massive Pine Barrens.
