Seeding 2026 in Canada is finally kicking off! 🚜
The snow is mostly gone and temperatures are rising to around 20°C – perfect conditions to get things moving. Now it’s time to hit the fields!
All across southern Saskatchewan, farmers are starting their seeding operations. In this video, I filmed the first unit south of Weyburn: a massive John Deere 9460R with nearly 690 HP, paired with an impressive Bourgault Air Drill (25.6–84 ft).
They are seeding Durum wheat, one of the key crops in Canadian agriculture.
This machine belongs to Kittelson Farms and is one of four seeding units in operation. With dual tires and its huge setup, this combination looks absolutely massive and shows the true scale of modern farming.
