All right, I am down near Franklin, Kentucky out here in a wheat field with Hunt Farms
and this is actually a new area for me videoing. They're running three combines in this field here.
Now I get a lot of people that get my channel confused or mixed up with big tractor power
and I've had a lot of people come up to me at the National Farm Machinery Show and say
I really like those wheat harvest videos you do in western Kentucky and I always have to say well
that's not me. Well now after this video I can say thank you. Let's watch these guys work.
To start the video off in this field they are running their three Case International 9250
combines all set up with the Case by MacDon FD240 Draper heads. Also in this field they are running
one of their Case International 620 quad tracks pulling this Kinze 1421 grain cart. Later on in
the video we'll get to another field where they are running the 39250s. This farm also has a 9240
combine with an FD140 head and in that field their Challenger MT865C tractor pulling a Kinze
1100 grain cart will also be in that field. Also later on in the video I'll catch up with this farm
as they are planting double crop soybeans running their other Case International 620 quad track
pulling a John Deere 1910 cart with an N550 drill. We've got a lot of action in this video
from the sky, from the ground, also some in cab shots. Enjoy! And just when you think you're
going to get that perfect unloading on the go shot, things change.
So
now to the next field with the combines. It's a new day and it's a new field for these guys
and now they have the fourth combine in here so joining their 39250s is their Case International
9240 with the FD140 Draper head and also in this field their Challenger MT865C tractor
hooked to a Kinze 1100 cart will be in the field as well to help out the 620 quad track in the
Kinze 1421 cart. So four combines, two tractors, and grain carts to finish out this video.
A little bit of information that I learned while I was in this area that has absolutely
nothing to do with tractors or combines but has to do with the wheat in the area here
is Western Kentucky is one of the nation's premier soft red winter wheat producing regions
with much of this wheat being delivered to two major flour mills in nearby Hopkinsville, Kentucky,
also known as the batter capital of the world. A lot of this flour is milled in brands you may
know such as Krusty's Pancake Mixes, I hope I said that right, Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit
Mix, Cracker Barrel Biscuit Mix, Ghirardelli Brownie Mixes, and many other baking products
found on your grocery shelf stores. One other thing I learned is any McDonald's biscuit mix
east of the Mississippi River comes from flour from seamer milling in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
I found all that information out on the internet so it has to be true,
but if you're from this area and you know feel free to comment about it.
And that is going to do it for this wheat harvest video from Kentucky.
