Benjamin, good to see you again. How have you been?
I've been good, thank you.
Nice. I remember the first time we spoke was at the start of your Manchester United journey.
We're now at the business end of the season, so how would you assess your first season in the Premier League?
It's been an amazing experience. Definitely the one to remember, especially of the way we've been playing.
I think we did great. Still some games left, but I think we're doing great. We have a great spirit in the team.
I'm learning a lot from the experienced players here. Great players, great coaching staff.
Also, I like the city. It's a win-win.
You always seem very happy every time I speak to you. You're just loving being a Manchester United player.
Has that improved throughout the season? The more you've been here, the more you're getting to know the culture, the league, the city and everything like that.
No, definitely. Each day, getting better, getting more experienced, getting the knowledge in general, help from the teammates and the outside as well.
Obviously, every day is easier. I'm also getting a lot of instructions from Bruno.
Are you?
Of course. Every single training, after training, sometimes before training.
What's your relationship like with Bruno?
I think we're really good. We're really having a great time together. I'm always trying to get all the information out of him.
I think it's important to stay around such a good player and a good person like him to get to know football in general way better.
You mentioned he's such a good player. He's having an unbelievable season.
What is it like as a striker to be playing with someone who's that good in that much form right now?
You just have to use it to the maximum. Whatever he tells you, you just have to do it.
You just do it, regardless of what he says?
Don't think twice. That's why I said I'm really grateful to have this opportunity to be around him.
Do you think he should win the Premier League Player of the Year Award? Has he been that good for you, the standout player this season?
For me, he's great. He's my teammate and, of course, I will stand out for him.
In terms of your role, I'm intrigued about the role of the number nine, so to speak.
We've seen various variations over the years. Your traditional number nine, the false nine, different systems.
Have you always been a traditional number nine since you were a very young player?
How do you see the role has developed over the years?
As soon as I started to play as a striker, I was always obsessed with scoring goals.
I always wanted to be the one that would help the team and, in the end, people would say,
oh, you scored a goal. But obviously, I think when you're younger, everyone wants to be that.
I think it's just something…
It's true, isn't it? Every kid wants to be a striker, yeah.
And then when your parents say, oh, you scored a goal, you feel the pride they're giving to you.
I was always, again, since a young age, always believed that this is going to be my life.
I was really fighting my days to really come to that level and I'm really happy that it all turned out well.
Just finally, what are your aims? What are you looking to achieve as a Manchester United player?
I would like to really achieve some trophies here.
I think that would be something that you just can't forget in your life at all.
Of course, you need to do a lot for it, but I believe we have the capacity to do that.
Benjamin, always a pleasure chatting to you, mate, and all the best for the rest of the season.
Top man.
