Good morning guys. Welcome to today's video. Sylvie and I are doing the mad dash. You might
know the mad dash meaning that we're running to assist Doe in labor but not this one. This one
is a vet call. I almost forgot my wallet. Hi babies. Come on Sylvie. We gotta hurry.
So we've inherited another cat. It plays with our cats.
Sylvie's giggling. I just feel like Sylvie giggling is like yes I'm keeping it. I'm keeping
it. All right so Sam is already starting the collection. Little tractor, big tractor,
bigger tractor. Lady is ready to rock and roll. She's like I'll meet you.
Actually I feel like she's been flirting with the boy goats.
I want to take Poshy for a walk. Look at him. When we came in he had it. He's digging that all up.
He had his nose under the dirt and he stopped still and he was looking at us like hmm.
I love them out here. They love it out here too. They just love it. It's good for the horses.
Gives them mental stimulation. So this is how our vet works. They come and you get charged by
how long they're here. So we try and like be prepared sister. We get the weight.
Hopefully this is gonna work. Yep okay. So we do the weight first. Last time he was here
I needed new batteries. All right Sylvie find us a baby. Find us the other baby.
He's a cute baby though. All right so this is the only one that's getting done today because she's
the only one who has horns. I gotta go. The vet's here. I'm gonna go let him in. Oh it's geez. Just
wait. Wait. What are you doing? We need it to be pounds. Oh no it's kilograms. All right go ahead
put her on. I think like 2.7. She's not fully on it. All fresh and clean. All right put her on my lap.
Here she sits in the nice warm living room. I just have to like. I lost a nail.
Sophie lost a nail and she just got them. Anyway I just have to sit here and keep her warm while
she wakes up because anesthesia makes you really cold. So yep and it smells so bad like when they
burn their stuff it stinks but no horns is so much better. I told him I'd like to learn to do it myself
and he didn't say anything. I said I wish you could show me how to do it but I'm a chicken to
do it. I don't have the drugs to do it and I don't want I would never want to do it without
meds but he uses sedation and pain meds so but people do it all the time. Sophie would you do it?
He freezes the face. I know. So much easier like I think we could do it. It's easy how he does it
like he shows us how he does it and I know we could do it as long as the goat was asleep
but I just don't see us doing it anytime soon but you never know. Never say never.
Going on a trail. All right going on trail. Yeah stay on the side. All right see you later.
Oh they're walking back. What the heck? That was quick. How come you're walking back?
She's going good and then what happened? My phone fell out of my pocket.
Your phone fell out of your pocket? Yeah. Oh you had your phone in your hand? No it was in
my pocket. And it just fell out? Yeah. Oh. Ew. We were in the other field too so I walked all the
way back. Oh too bad. This goat took forever to wake up. It's like hours later and usually they
wake up within like half an hour four to five minutes max and she's acting like she's not quite
ready. Sophie says she's just acting like a princess. So the reason that we bring them inside
after they're disbudded is because their body temperature drops and they get really cold
so we want to keep her warm because bad things can happen when a goat gets too cold. So anyway
it's been hours and she's awake. She just wants to lay on my lap. So if Sophie takes her and puts
her on the couch she stands up. If I have her on my lap she just lays on my lap. So I'm going to
try and put her and her mom and her brother in their bed for the rest of the night. Shoot. Shoot.
Shoot. I had to go back and get Sophie now because Winston was waiting at the gate and he
was like he knew he was gonna run out. He knew. Like he literally was waiting for me to open the
gate and I thought I could squish past him but I couldn't. So this is how it happens though.
They squish around my legs. Oh look. Oh there goes your brother and there's your mama.
I love them. They're so cute. People still drive really slow when they go by so they can watch
them. I feel like it's colder in here. She's such a good mama. Here you go. I don't know if you can
walk yet. Have a drink. Oh good. That's the most important part is that she goes and has a big
drink. Oh she didn't drink. Smell her head so I can make sure you don't refuse her. She's like I
know something happened to her. So the vet was disbudding her and then the mama was out here
screaming her head off. Hi pose. Are you gonna accept her? Where's your little boy? I don't want
to be cold. That's the problem. Oh where is that little boy? Where's Sophie? Can you come to the
fence quick? This guy is chasing our pregnant goat like crazy. I can't hear. Take this. Oh my gosh.
Our cat is chasing another cat. He does not want to go.
That's what happens when you be chasing girls around. Does he have a moon spot?
No. Let's get this little guy too. Although he's not as bad and he's still quite young.
He's going on the weekend anyways. Oh that was crazy. I don't know. It's colder in the barn.
I just want to see her nurse. She's not nursing. Oh that was the boy.
She's smelling her head. She's like what did they do to you? It's gross. I know it does smell gross.
She's like my baby is gross now.
I don't know. Maybe we should put him over there too.
She's not happy with him driving her crazy.
I just don't like that they're literally chasing around our pregnant goat that's gonna
end up giving birth early. Why would they like think that she's in heat?
He still really drinks a lot of milk from his mom though.
Wow it's wild down here. It was so peaceful in the house just taking care of that little baby.
Look see how sweet she was. She was trying to tell that baby to get away from me. I am not your mom.
And she just so gently pushed him. Pip has a longer neck than Oakley.
Oh hi. I know the boys are getting bad. They're leaving. They're leaving. You will never be
bothered by them again. Now it's Lola's turn. Now Lola's screaming at the fence.
Because those are Lola's boys. You got a girl.
Yeah you got a girl. So the thing we don't like about Lola. We like everything about her except
for actually her neck is not even that short. I feel like the collar makes her neck look short.
But her neck is not as long as we want. But where is she? Pip over there. Sophie says that she's got
a longer neck. She does have look like she has a longer neck but we'll see.
Listen your boys are old enough they need to be separated because they're bothering the girls.
Everybody's screaming. All right she's having a drink. All right we're good.
I just wanted to make sure like a drink will bring up her body temperature.
Will make her wake up. Give her energy. All the good stuff. Look at our little goat chicken.
Yeah she loves it down here. She doesn't even know we have new chickens.
I love watching them when they're all out on the grass. Literally every part of goats
is trouble. Every part of them. Let's just make sure that they can't get out on the road
on that fence down there. Because well let's go fix it. We fix that up. We have to be able
to keep that so that it can open and close. Because this is where people come to come to
our farm. Lola is mad. You get to be a dad now. You need to parent your children. I can't wait
to shave him. He looks so patchy. He's gonna look cute. Oh she stopped crying now Winston.
Like they were chasing our pregnant goat around like crazy. So that to me means it's past time.
We might have to put them in their own stall tonight.
Winston needs his own stall. He gets too big eating the other goats grains.
They look good actually. They're cute. He's like can I eat? The little black guy is really cute.
He's definitely more like Lola.
