This response is for @Eppyboy on twitter. This is a 14 or 16 day trip throughout Eastern Europe and Southern Eastern Europe. All the destinations are major cities. Here are many different trips you can do. If I was you I would do Warsaw, Poland all the way down to Hungary, Budapest Hope you enjoy this response and if anyone has any question please let me know. Hello everyone.
Today's response is for Epiboy.
He's asking me about Eastern Europe.
He wants to go see a few different capitals between Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania,
Bulgaria.
He sort of just wants to go into that area.
He's going pretty much, not backpacking, but almost.
He wants to spend about four days in each country, and he wants to go skiing, and he
wants to stay in hostels.
But this is what I would recommend, okay?
So here we are.
What I would recommend is you could do either two things.
You could start, you could fly into Prague, go directly from Prague to Brno right here,
and you have Ostrava, you have Krakow.
The best route would be Krakow, Ostrava, Brno, Bratislava, Budapest, and then you could just
go maybe down to Slovenia.
The only thing is, from Budapest down to Zagreb or down to Belgrade, that's about eight hours
in train, obviously.
You could do that, maybe less, maybe like six hours.
Maybe you should do that and just not stay in a hostel the night that you're going from
place to place and just sleep on the train.
You could do that.
It's not a big deal.
Eastern Europe is no big deal.
For me, it was no big deal, so it shouldn't be for you.
Or you can do another route.
You can start Prague and go to Brno, two days here, two days in Bratislava, three days,
at least three days in Budapest, so that's what, that's seven days.
Then I would go down into Serbia or into Croatia.
Serbia is different, though, because Serbia has a lot of cities right next to each other.
You have Novi Sad, which I heard is very beautiful.
You have Belgrade, which is insane party life, and the women in Serbia are the best in the
world, just so you know that.
The Nis is good, Sarajevo I heard is great.
You can go down into Pristina, right here into Kosovo.
I mean, there's so many things you could do and see.
The only problem with Romania and Bulgaria is the distances, so I mean, if you wanted
to go to Bucharest and then Constanta, and you can go down to Varna, Burgas, and make
your way back to Sofia, because that's another route, I mean, but that would be it.
It would be this route, just going in a circle, and then all around here is a bunch of ski
resorts.
I would have to look in to see exactly where you're going to see exactly what ski resort
is near, but there's ski resorts everywhere, because it's all mountain region, okay?
Let's see, what else?
I mean, I think, personally, either I would do this.
I would land in Prague.
It's the best place to land.
I mean, trying to go into Budapest, you could do that also, but if you land in Prague, you
go to Brno, Bratislava, Budapest, make your way down into Serbia, and see a bunch of different
things here.
You could fly out from Belgrade to wherever your destination was that you flew into Prague
from, or fly back to Prague from Belgrade.
I mean, that's probably the best route.
The other route that I would recommend is get some way to Warsaw, come down to Krakow,
which is about a three-hour train ride, okay?
And then, Krakow, Ostrava, Ostrava, Brno, Brno, you can go to Vienna, Bratislava, and
you can go to Budapest.
I mean, there's PECS, there's the Balaton, but the thing is, you're going to be there
in winter, so I don't suggest you go to the Balaton in winter.
Remember, you're going to be freezing, like freezing, freezing.
This is, it's a deadly winter.
I've been in winter in Poland, and that was to die.
I almost froze my ass off, okay?
Yeah, I think that's, I mean, that's pretty much it, man.
I mean, 16 days, you're going to be cutting it, you know, short.
You can probably do two, two, two, or two, three, two, and the thing is, if you're going
to go, when you go skiing, you're going to kill that day.
I mean, that day alone is getting to the little town, you know, going skiing, maybe making
your way back to the city that you came from, or staying there the night, and staying an
extra day, and going skiing two days.
I mean, that would be the realistic thing to do, okay?
I mean, yeah, that's what I would suggest, okay?
Every boy, have a good time.
To everybody else, keep asking me questions.
Let's do it.
It's rock and roll.
